“AHH,” I scream out.

They just killed my mate.

I could feel everything.

The flames. It burned everywhere, all over my body.

I felt her power drain from her by something. It was like it was sucking all her life force out of her.

I looked over my shoulders at the pathetic elder smirking at me. “I told you they would kill her,” he says.

His hand goes to the mark on his face, which makes him hiss slightly, but he looks back at me. “We need to get ready, we need to get ready to leave...” he says, but I hiss at him. “We are not doing anything just yet,” I say to him, which makes him look back at me with anger written all over his face.

I use my speed, wrap my hand around his neck, and slam him into the wall. He gasps, but I move closer to him. “You have no wolf thanks to that panther; you have no authority anymore,” I say as I smell his fear run off him more, but I couldn’t help but smirk. “We will wait; they will expect us to make a move, so we wait; we need more information first, so your job now is get back to those books to replace an answer. NOW!” I yell at him.

I move my hand from his neck, and he falls to the ground in a heap, gasping for air.

I look over my shoulder at the wolf who came back with us. He looks at the elder with hatred.

I wonder what the old prick did to piss him off.

I walk away.

“What are we doing now?” Asks the young wolf. “We need more followers.”

I smirk and look at him. “Oh, I have more followers. We need more rogues too so you can look for more of them, but I think we need to make a plan, but after that, that brother of yours...” I say, but he cuts me off with a loud growl. “HE WAS NEVER MY BROTHER,” he roars.

I smirk more at him. “OK,” I say. “After Michael wanted revenge on her, we know she is powerful. But now we need to plan a killing fit for a princess because we need her here with us. She will do our bidding, but also she will do what we say.”

I look at the young alpha. “She is a beauty,” I say as I cock my head to one side. “You could have her for yourself; you can control her with the wolves as I can control that brat of hers with the vampires.”

He looks at me and says nothing, but the elder looks up from the floor. “You can’t tame her. How do you suggest we do that?” He asks.

I glare back at the man. “We will kill her family and mate,” I say through gritted teeth. “Why are you still here?”

I look at my number two, Lee, who would love to eat the pathetic man more than anything, but we need him for more information.

Lee steps closer to him and pulls the elder to his feet but turns to me with a nod and pushes the elder out of the room, “Watch what you are doing. I am still in charge here,” he says as Lee shuts the door behind them.

“He still thinks he is in charge,” says the young wolf.

“I know,” I say to him and look at him. “We need to plan something without his input, but I have someone who I think you may know.”

I pull out the mobile phone and send a message.

“Michael killed no one. I stopped him,” I say as the door opens, and there stands the woman who Michael held captive away from his brother.

The young wolf stares at the beauty in front of him. Shock forms. “Drake,” she whispers.

The young alpha run toward her and wrap her in a hug.

I turn to give them privacy, but the young alpha looks back at me. “Why?” he says, as a lone tear escapes. “How?”

I look back at him. “I just lost my mate. I need to grieve,” I say to him. “Michael kept her away from you. I made sure they did not hurt her.”

The young wolf looks back at me and nods. “I will work with you,” he says.

I smile and walk out of the room.

I close the door behind me, and my smile turns into a smirk.

Lee comes closer, who has the same smirk as me. “Stupid man and wolf,” he says in a quiet tone. “They know nothing.”

I nodded and walked away from the rooms, so we were out of earshot of both men.

As we open the door, Lee looks outside at the vampires we have. “I will send word for more,” he says and turns to me. “She looks so much like her ancestor. It is so weird.”

I smirk. “It is, isn’t it?” I say to him, and we walk towards our spot.

I look back at the house we use as a safe place. “We will need to move soon, but we kill that pathetic man soon, but I believe we can leave him for the panther since she marked him for death by her own hand.”

Lee looks back at me, confused. “Why would you do that for?” He asked.

I smile. “That is one thing I want to give her before we kill her precious mate, as we did to Clara’s mate.”

“We don’t have a witch anymore,” says Lee.

“Oh, you do,” says a voice behind me, which makes me smile, and I turn around to see my second mate. “I want her power, hunny.”

“You will, my dear,” I say and pull her into my arms. I place my mouth on hers. I have missed her so much, but I move back from her. Lee turned around as he gets uncomfortable with PDA moments. He needs to get laid again.

“MMM...” she says as she licks her lips but looks at me with a grim look. “Helga got greedy, didn’t she?”

I hiss. “No, she wanted that pathetic child of hers,” I say. “She wanted him back.”

My mate looks at me and cocks her head. “I thought you sent him away with that rogue king. Why would she want him back? He was not ours.”

I smile. “I know, my dear, but our son is safe,” I say to her.

“Nel, what are we going to do?” asked Lee as he turned back around to face us both.

Nel smiles. “We will wait for that young alpha to get more rogues to follow us. We will plan an attack in a month but we need more information off that old man. We need to know the incantation for the panther to be under our control but if he holds back. We can use someone else as long as they don’t change anyone from the council’s minds while we are in hiding.”

Lee nods.

We stare back at the house. We need to capture the panther for Nel. Helga was never the true witch I was with—Nel was.

Vampires don’t have mates, but we do like to fuck. I have many followers in the witches’ community. But they all have one purpose for me. Nel is different. She gave me a son. He is a hybrid, but he is safe. He is the same age as that little brat.

I will make that little brat his mate.

I will kill the panther’s mate, family, and full pack.

She will be ours soon.
