When that was said, the other four were even more stunned. They could understand each word, but as a sentence, they could not understand what was being said at all. Fane looked at their confused expressions and added exasperatedly, "If you've forgotten, just try and remember what happened just now."

The other four slowly started to understand after being given the hint. Fane's perception was very strong. He noticed very quickly that Maxcus' group was hiding. Fane said that something similar happened, which told them that there was another group hiding somewhere. The few of them exchanged looks with each other, and they felt their hearts starting to beat faster. Fane frowned, not even turning his head around. He could feel that the group that was hiding was behind them and to the left.

To not startle his opponents, Fane did not want to look their way. He told Maxcus and the others because he did not want his identity to be revealed again. It was one thing for Maxcus' group to have guessed who he was. If he thought about it, he could still continue the matter.

However, if he allowed Maxcus to continue speaking, his identity would be heard by those that were hiding, which would only complicate things.

Maxcus understood what Fane meant at that moment and quickly stopped the earlier topic. However, they found themselves at a loss for a topic at the same time. There was silence, but it would seem too intentional if that was the case. He wondered if the ones in hiding would get suspicious.

Just as Maxcus was feeling conflicted, Fane spoke up again. "Did you not hear what I said? I said I agree. We can work together for now, though I want to ask something before anything happens. Did you have any other plans before you entered the Toman Battlefield? Did you set yourself a goal?"

Maxcus felt much more relaxed with Fane's guidance. He immediately continued the line of conversation, "We didn't really have a solid goal After all, we're not that strong. All we can do is pace ourselves, carefully. We're doing our best to make ourselves some spirit crystals while trying to stay safe."

Fane nodded before he tried to replace more topics of conversation. He was just trying to stall for time. Even

though he did not know who was hiding from them, Fane decided drag things on to see if there were any movements on their side. If they were just hiding for no reason, Fane would leave them alone. If they made any moves, however, Fane

would immediately react.

At that moment, Brock and the others had gathered and observed Fane's group. Since Fane had reacted in time, they did not hear anything about Fane's identity at all.

Lazlo felt like it was about time. He

was just about to get the others to attack with him when he heard Brock say, "Looking at how they're acting, they'll probably be talking for quite awhile. Since we're here, we'll be able to react the moment that prey does anything. Let's just talk about what we'll do with the extra person right now."

Lazlo's lips twitched. He wanted to slap Brock at that moment. He wanted Brock to realize that even if they wanted to talk about how to split the prey up, they still needed to capture them first. From what Brock said, Lazlo knew what Brock was thinking. Brock had always been a selfish person, always making sure he got the most benefits from any situation. He was trying to take the additional man for himself. If the others did not agree, he would overturn the earlier agreement. Brock was absolutely capable of doing something so immoral.

Lenny was no idiot. He had seen through Brock's little trick as well and was already angry at Brock in the first place. The moment he heard that, he could no longer hold back.
