Fane slowly turned to face Adler. Lourain was quietly standing below the Path of Fate, looking up at everything that was happening. Everyone else thought that Fane was acting too arrogantly with what he said earlier, but Lourain could tell that Fane had other plans.

Fane was not someone who would let a bit of achievement get to his head. He would never have said that if he did not have a reason to. Fane definitely had a goal in doing what he did. When Adler stepped on the starting point, Lourain immediately understood that Fane

had been trying to provoke Blant so that he would have his subordinates join the challenge.

In truth, Fane was making a gamble as well. He did not know if the ones around Blant had joined the challenge before. If all of them had already attempted the challenge, then Fane would have done all of that in vain. Adler narrowed his eyes slightly as he looked at Fane with a vicious glint.

That expression seemed to be telling everyone that he would completely rip Fane to shreds. Fane remained completely calm even when faced with an expression like that. It was as if the person standing at the starting point was not his opponent, but an ant that he could kill at any moment. He did not feel threatened by the opponent at all.

Fane's expression was too calm, and that angered Adler. Adler scoffed, "Brat, try to keep up with that act of yours! Did you think that all of us have joined the challenge, and no one's around to teach you that lesson?! Is that why you were acting so arrogantly? However, you've miscalculated. I just entered this place a little bit earlier than you did, and I haven't had the chance to join the challenge!"

The other participants below started to look at Fane with sympathetic looks on their faces. Fane was done for. Someone even shouted out, "Hey, you there. You need to be careful. Adler is stronger than Lionel. Lionel's nothing special amongst warriors that are above average, but Adler ranks in the top ten among those warriors. Lionel wouldn't be able to take three blows from him!"

Fane raised an eyebrow. So, this guy was called Adler. Adler was slightly stronger than Fane expected if he. was ranked in the top ten. It seemed like After did not dare to act like h

was better than Blant and had

he

always stood behind him.

It was obvious that Blant was stronger than Adler and was probably in the top five. No wonder everyone was so afraid of Blant. With skills like that, Blant definitely had the right to act arrogantly in front of everything else.

Adler had thought that Fane would

show some fear on his face after hearing how strong he was. Even if Fane was forcing himself to act calm, there should have been some fluctuations in Fane's demeanor when he revealed his skills. Yet, he was surprised to see that Fane's expression did not change the whole time. Even after hearing that he ranked in the top ten among above average warriors, Fane still seemed indifferent.

The more Adler looked at it, the angrier he got. He wanted nothing more than to rip that man to shreds. Blant was clearly not happy with Fane's calm demeanor as well. It was as if their skills were nothing in front of that man.

Even though that guy would be

taught a lesson very soon, Blant was still too impatient. He scoffed as he said coldly, "You're still trying to put on an act? Even if you act like you're so calm, it won't change your fate. You'll end up even worse than Lionel. That's the consequence of challenging us!"

Fane turned around and looked at Blant calmly before he looked at Adler again. He sighed, "What a pity. If only you hadn't attempted the challenge and were the one standing here instead. That would've been so much better."
