Earlier, seven of the Black Paths were being used, while two of them were empty. At that moment, Dante had clearly been a step ahead of the two of them, so they were forced to wait. Lourain sighed and said, "It's a good thing. I can take this chance to catch my breath. Actually, I'm not mentally prepared yet. I'm so worried that I'll be careless and die inside."

Fane patted Lourain on the shoulder. "Don't burden yourself with such heavy thoughts. You've improved quite a lot, and you're only one step away from being an above average warrior. You should be able to handle the second level of difficulty. Even if you're not careful and end up injured, they should just be minor injuries."

Lourain knew how Fane's personality was. Fane never exaggerated things and always spoke the truth no matter who the listener was. With Fane's words, Lourain's mental burden lightened quite a bit.

"Lourain?" There was suddenly a voice behind him. Fane frowned. To prevent any unnecessary trouble, even Lourain had put on a disguise. There should be no one who recognized him.

The two of them turned around to see a man in green robes. He frowned as he looked at them curiously. When the two of them turned around, that person suddenly had a look of surprise, "Oh, I'm sorry! I've got the wrong person."

The moment that was said, Lourain excitedly grabbed that person by the sleeve. "Vaughn! It's me!" As he said that, he excitedly took off his disguise, revealing his true face. When Vaughn saw that it was Lourain, he let out a sigh of relief.

He smiled and said, "I knew it was you from your back, but when you turned around, I saw a complete stranger. I thought I had the wrong person."

After that, he said with some hesitation, "Did you get into some trouble? Why did you disguise yourself?"

Lourain's lips stiffened as some hesitation flashed in his eyes. He suddenly found himself unable to explain.

Vaughn was close to him, but he did

not know if Fane was willing to let him tell the truth or not. When Vaughn saw Lourain's expression he immediately felt that Lourain was in a rough spot. He smiled and put his band up. "It's fine. If it's difficult toexplain, then there's no need to do so."

Lourain nodded. He did not want to say too much about Fane. Even though telling Vaugn who Fane was was not that bad, he still felt that it was better for others to know less about Fane. Lourain simply introduced everyone. He only introduced Fane as a friend who helped him a lot. After hearing that, Vaughn no longer regarded Fane that coldly.

"Oh, what a coincidence! You're here too!" At that moment, a sly voice was heard behind them.

Fane turned around to see a sinister-looking man and a large

man looking over toward them with ill intentions. After hearing those people speak, Vaughn's face immediately darkened. "Are the two of you done? Are you two getting ahead of yourselves just because I don't want to deal with you?"

When Lourain saw the two of them, his expression soured as well. He looked at them like they were two piles of crap.

Lourain could not hold back his

disgust for them and turned to whisper to Fane, "The clan those two belong to has a grudge against

clan. Whenever we meet their

disciples, there would definite me to

be

some conflict. I've fought those two before as well. The one on the left is

Keller, while the tall one is Burke."
