The Supreme Man: Took Everything in Power -
Chapter 392
Courtney could not be bothered to respond to her. She grabbed Kingsley's arm and said, "Kingsley, let's go! Let them carry on with their attention-seeking ways!"
"Why should we leave?" Kingsley smiled. "Courtney, didn't we agree that I'm buying you the watch in that advertisement billboard we saw?"
The crowd eyed Kingsley at once and began to murmur among themselves.
"What did he say? He wants to buy the watch that's displayed on the billboard? Did I hear that correctly?"
"Yeah! That's the top-of-the-line model that's being heavily marketed right now! I heard that it costs five hundred grand!"
"Are you serious? He wants to buy his girlfriend a five hundred grand watch? How loaded must he be?"
Zeke snorted. "Hey, fool. Have you lost your mind? Have you ever seen five hundred grand in your life before? Are you so f*cking keen on showing off that you lost all your senses?"
He immediately waved to get the crowd's attention and declared, "Everyone, don't believe his bullsh*t! That moron is just faking it! He's just a poor loser who's still in college!"
When the crowd heard what Zeke said, they eyed Kingsley derisively and snorted.
"I knew it! That fool looks like an average Joe. How would he be able to buy a five hundred grand watch? So he's just faking it, huh!"
"Hah. What's up with young people these days? Why would you put on such airs for yourself in public? If he was my son, I'd have broken his legs!"
Zeke was immensely satisfied to see the crowd mocking Kingsley.
He looked at Courtney and chuckled. "Miss Bullock, since you're Cathy's roommate, I'm going to share a word of advice. You better stay far away from this loser! Don't make yourself the butt of other people's jokes by being associated with him!"
Courtney sneered. "Oh? Are you implying that I should be closer to you instead?"
"Wow, you sure are an intelligent woman, Miss Bullock!" Zeke took a step forward and said in a low voice, "Just say the word and I'll dump Catherine. I'll even buy you a watch!"
Courtney glanced at Catherine, who was picking a watch at a nearby display, and said with an indiscernible expression, "You're going to dump your girlfriend just like that?"
"What girlfriend? We're just fooling around. Just fooling around!" Zeke flashed her a sleazy smile. "How can a woman like her compare to you?"
He winked at Courtney a couple of times as he said that.
Though he might have thought that he looked handsome doing so, on the contrary, he looked like a complete sleazeball!
Courtney smirked. "Okay. Dump her and buy me a watch."
"F-For real?" Zeke was so stunned his flirting worked that he even stuttered, "Y-You're really agreeing?"
"Yeah." Courtney nodded. "Why should I reject someone who's offering to buy me a watch?"
Zeke chortled with glee and pointed at Kingsley as he rebuked arrogantly, "Hahahaha... Hey, fool! Did you see that, huh? Money talks! All I have to do is wag my finger and your woman's mine!" "Hah." Kingsley snorted without saying anything.
Although he did not know why Courtney responded in the affirmative, he was willing to bet that she would not take a liking to Zeke!
Furthermore, Courtney was not someone who could be bought over with money.
She was someone who donated every bit of money she had!
Why would someone like her agree to date Zeke just for money?
While Zeke guffawed wildly in glee, Courtney turned to Julie, who had been standing on the side the entire time, and said, "Bring out the watch that costs five hundred grand. Someone wants to give it to me." That shut Zeke up at once.
He even started sweating!
"W-What...?"
All he had on him right now was a bit over thirty grand!
He needed to use it to buy a birthday gift for Mrs. Hewitt!
There was no way he could scrounge up five hundred grand right now, not even if someone put a gun to his head right now!
