"I've found a few accomplices." Kingsley's eyes gradually turned frosty. "Besides Randy Summers whom I've already gotten rid of, there's also Matt Fox, Felix Jacob, and Jonah Lawson. But I think that they are just small fries. The real murderer has yet to reveal themselves."

"What do you plan to do to them?" Mason asked. "Are you going to get them in one fell swoop once the real murderer reveals themselves?"

"I will try my best to achieve that." Kingsley narrowed his eyes as he ran over his plans. "I can't take my eyes off the ball and let the real killer escape." A cold light flashed past his light brown eyes. "But I won't wait for long. If I can't replace the real murderer, I won't allow these accomplices to continue getting away with their crimes."

Mason nodded. "Do you already have some plans set in motion?"

Kingsley changed the subject instead of answering his question and said solemnly, "I've found the culprit behind the bombing of my family cemetery."

Mason widened his eyes in surprise. "Who did it?"

"Jonah Lawson," he answered. "He was so well hidden that I'd still be in the dark if I hadn't met you. He's also one of the murderers from seventeen years ago."

Anger washed over Mason's face. "It's really him! He's still as vicious as before, hurting so many innocent people just to blow up the cemetery!"

Kingsley nodded and said, "Didn't you ask me about my plan earlier? I plan to wait until the day the cemetery is rebuilt, and I'll eliminate all the murderers together." The look in his eyes turned darker, as though a storm was brewing. "At that time, regardless of whether I've found the mastermind or not, I won't be soft-hearted and will make them pay with their deaths in front of my parents' graves!"

Mason frowned at his words. "Aren't you worried about alerting the enemy, causing the real murderer to fully go to the ground?"

"That's why I have to replace them as soon as possible before the cemetery is rebuilt."

"Okay, I believe in you." He gave Kingsley a pat on his shoulder. "I see that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, and I believe that you'll avenge Xavier."

Time passed by very quickly. Sure enough, just as Charlie promised, Clarence lost all his 70 million in a week.

At the Wynn Manor, Clarence was crumpled on the couch with a pale, dazed face. That was 70 million! I hadn't even had it for that long before it all vanished in mere days! He felt as though he was in a dream. Just a couple of days ago, he was a wealthy man with an abundance of cash. How did he end up a pauper in the blink of an eye?

At the moment, the entire house was eerily quiet. The other Wynns had scurried off when they heard that Clarence was in such a situation now, worried that they would also catch his bad luck.

In the huge living room, Elijah, Ysabel, Mia, and Alex sat across from him without a word. Alex, who was seated in a wheelchair, looked vastly different. Now, his cheeks were sunken, which made his eyes look huge as it was encircled by dark bags, showing that he was not faring well. He had lost considerable weight after that incident and he looked like a different man. He became a cripple after receiving a beating from Andrew and could never stand on his legs again. He was forever bound to a wheelchair for the rest of his life. All the arrogance he had from before was long gone, and he was an incredibly depressing sight.

After a long moment of silence, he asked in a hoarse voice, "Dad, what exactly did you invest in? Why can't you get anything back?"

Clarence rubbed his face as he ran his fingers through his hair in agitation, saying, "President Dean didn't tell me the details and only promised that I will be able to double my income in a few years..."

Alex slammed the armrest on his wheelchair upon hearing such outrageous words. "Dad! You were the president of Clark Corporation before, after all. How could you make such a silly mistake? That's a huge amount of money and you threw in everything without asking any questions?!"
