The Supreme Man: Took Everything in Power -
Chapter 666 Fearing Danger
"How many cars?" Victoria said in confusion, "There were three vans in total. What's the problem?"
Kenny smiled and said, "Three vans might not be enough. We needed almost 20 vans to fit them all."
When Victoria heard that, her interest was piqued. "What is it exactly?"
Kenny glanced at Reene, then leaned in close to Victoria and whispered, "Guns and ammo."
Victoria was speechless.
Her pretty eyes widened as she said in disbelief, "W-What?!"
"You didn't mistake my words; it's exactly those treasures!" Kenny said, a little envious, "And there's quite a number of them too! Jeanne, you have to prepare a place that's safe and spacious enough for them!' Victoria's eyes shifted as she looked at a muscular man at the side, saying, "Darren, bring some men with you and follow Advisor Shane. Move all the stuff to the warehouse in an urban village in the north of the city."
Darren had worked for Victoria for more than a decade.
However, he was far more honest than Rupert, and he was extremely loyal to Victoria as well.
He nodded. "Got it, boss. Don't worry, I promise you that there won't be any mistakes!"
Even though he didn't really catch a hint about what those gifts were exactly, he could hear from Victoria's tone that the items were extremely important.
After that, Kenny got someone to undo the ropes that bound Mia, then splashed the latter awake with some cold water. Finally, he took his men and left with Darren without further ado.
Reene and Victoria sat close to each other in the car as they headed toward Jeanne D'Arc.
As Reene sat in the back seat of the van, she glanced at the underworld members of all shapes and sizes, then at the blood stains on Victoria's heel.
She could somewhat understand why Kingsley refused to get close to Victoria.
When Kingsley returned, he didn't say anything explicitly, but judging from his mysterious movements, he probably had something extremely important to do.
Moreover, Victoria was an impulsive person, so if she knew that he had a hand in this, she would, without a doubt, bring her men and intervene in Kingsley's matters.
Kingsley worried that she might get in danger, so he refused to acknowledge her even though it pained him.
At that thought, Reene couldn't help but let out a quiet sigh. She didn't know what Kingsley was doing exactly, or how dangerous it was...
When Victoria heard Reene sighing, she turned around. "What's the matter, Reene?"
"It's nothing." Reene smiled. "I was just worried that you might face danger in your line of work."
"Of course, it'll be a little dangerous, but it's nothing too serious." Victoria laughed it off, saying, "Also, didn't you see that just now, Reene? Boss Nicholson gave me a huge gift! With this gift, my chances of being in danger have gone down to zero!"
Reene pursed her lips. "I feel like... You're quite fond of this Boss Nicholson, Victoria."
"Stop saying nonsense, Reene." Victoria glanced at her underlings in the van, whose ears seemed to have perked up. Then, she whispered, "He wants to capture someone in my territory, and that's the only reason he sent me all these. We're business partners, so fondness isn't part of the equation."
Capture someone in her territory?
When Reene heard Victoria's words, she felt like she understood something.
By the looks of it, the person Kingsley wanted to capture was extremely dangerous, so he didn't want Victoria to be caught in the crossfire.
After all, with Victoria's personality, she would help out even if it didn't take place in her territory, so she would definitely intervene if it was happening in her territory itself.
If Kingsley revealed his identity to her, she might risk her life to help him out, and no one would be able to stop her.
While Reene was still deep in thought, they arrived at Jeanne D'Arc.
Victoria brought Reene to her office and took out a first-aid kit, saying, "Reene, come and sit on the couch. I'll put a cold compress on you, then I'll apply some ointment to get rid of the swelling." Reene took the cold compress and placed it on her face. Then, she said slowly, "Victoria, for the past few years..."
