The two embraced each other as they slept. The moonlight silently shone, and the night passed by in a flash.

The sky had just started to turn bright when George abruptly woke up. He opened his eyes, and it took him a long while to realize that he was sleeping in the smaller bedroom.

He had actually spent the night here!

The light in the room was dim. Suzy was still deep in her sleep. George looked at her face for a moment before slowly getting up. He then quietly left the bedroom.

Suzy slept until it was bright out. She remembered something and turned to look at her side. The man's spot on the bed was empty.

He really left.

Suzy calmly looked away and stared at the sun outside before stretching.

Another week passed in the blink of an eye, and it was already June. During class, Cece was talking to Suzy about the art exhibition in the art museum that was about to open. However, it was hard to get a ticket. Even scalpers were unable to help her out.

Suzy said that she would try to get a ticket for her, but Cece merely thought that she was saying words of comfort. She did not take the words to heart.

When Suzy left the Laine family's house on Saturday, Suzy received a call from Tanner. The old man was angry as he yelled, "Why, you brat! If I don't come looking for you, perhaps you would've forgotten this old teacher of yours?" Suzy smiled lightly and said, "I've missed you, sir."

Just this sentence alone immediately calmed the old man's anger. He deliberately snorted." Nonsense. Then why haven't you given me a call? And why haven't you come back to see me? At least JK comes to see me every week. Are you busier than him?"

Suzy lowered her voice, saying, "t's my fault. I'll visit you in the afternoon and bring you the sweet-scented osmanthus cake from Vegemay."

"Don't wait around for the afternoon and just come over now. I'll wait for you so we can eat lunch together," the old man could not help but say. Suzy answered cheerfully, "Alright. But I need at least an hour to reach your place from River U Don't starve yourself now and have your lunch first."

"Stop being so long-winded and hurry up! I'm waiting for the sweet-scented osmanthus cake." The old man snorted as he quickly hung up the phone.

Suzy pursed her lips and smiled. Then, she went over to Vegemay to buy the sweet-scented Osmanthus cake.

When she was coming out of Vegemay, Suzy received a call from Jordy. He chuckled and said," Did Mr Lazarus come looking for you?"

Suzy lowered her eyes. "Well, I suppose I was in the wrong for not going to see him for so long." "Mr. Lazarus is famous for his temper." Jordy's voice was gentle and elegant. "I'll be heading over as well. Where are you now? I'll come pick you up." "I'm at Vegemay on Fuzzy Road." "I'm nearby, around ten minutes away. Don't move around and wait for me right there." "Okay!" Ten minutes later, Suzy got into Jordy's car with the osmanthus cake. Jordy turned to look at Suzy while driving, saying with a small smile, "You look good. Have you been happy recently?" Suzy could somewhat no longer deem 'happy' as a typical word nowadays. She would think of a certain someone whenever she heard it. Then, she turned her head and looked out the window while saying, "It's not bad." "Has your marriage contract with the Laines expired?" Jordy asked. In the beginning, Jordy was very opposed to Jarold marrying into the Laine family in such a manner. He was even angry with Suzy for several months over it. Hence, Suzy did not have the guts to tell him that she and George were lovers now. She merely vaguely replied, "Soon." "Once you've terminated the contract with the Laines, don't head back to the Shirley family's place. Your house is very far from River U, so you should move into my place at Royal Court. It just happens to be close to River U," said Jordy in a low voice. Suzy looked at him in astonishment. "Are you talking about Sherpant Royal Court?" "Yeah." Jordy nodded. "What's wrong?" Suzy shook her head guiltily. "It's nothing." Jordy was driving his car with one hand and handed her a key. "This is the key to the place. You can head over at any time. I'll look for a part- time housekeeper to cook for you." Suzy took it and placed it into her bag. "Thanks, JK, but I'm renting a place there myself." Jordy looked at her with a cold gaze through his golden-framed glasses. "You're not living in Green Garden anymore?"
