The Sweet Pursuit by Golden Autumn -
Chapter 104
Suzy smiled. "Well, the painter's name is very interesting."
Someone next to her glanced at Zyaire and said with a smile, "The person who painted this painting is still a student and is very talented. I was shocked when I saw this painting. When I was in my 20s, I didn't have such a style."
Suzy smiled and said gently, "The person who painted this has a unique style, and the angle is amazing. Plus, the skills are mellow, while the composition is full. It's a good painting."
Everyone nodded in agreement. Zyaire smiled deeply and was a little proud.
"However..." Suzy suddenly changed her opinion and shook her head while saying, "There's a difference in charm, especially since the painting is right next to Mr. Liam's. The two paintings are too different in terms of charm and artistic conception. It stands to reason that such a painting should not appear in the exhibition at all."
Everyone was stunned, while some nodded secretly. Others felt that Suzy's words were too sharp and straightforward. A few even peeked at Zyaire's face.
Somebody in the crowd said, "This is Mr. Liam's student's painting, right?"
Tanner looked at Zyaire in astonishment. "Is that so?"
Zyaire had a complicated expression for a short while. He hurriedly replied, "Yes. It's that student I told you about, Sunny Shirley. She's quite talented in painting, and this is her painting." Suzy smiled lightly and said, "My apologies!" Zyaire said repeatedly, "No, no. Sunny does have her own shortcomings." Tanner asked Jordy, "What do you think?". Jordy glanced at Suzy and nodded lightly. "I think Suzy is right."
The person in charge looked at Zyaire in embarrassment, but Zyaire was not perfunctory. He immediately said, "Withdraw Sunny's painting from the exhibition."
Since he had spoken up, the person in charge did not say much and requested a staff member to take down Sunny's painting.
Once the painting was taken down, everyone realized that it was never a spot for a painting. They had to move Zyaire's painting slightly to the side before this just to make that space for hers.
Now that Zyaire's painting was placed back into its original position, it did not seem like anything was missing at all
There was even a chance that they had only displayed Sunny's painting here just for the sake of honoring Zyaire.
Everyone's opinion on the matter was different. They merely followed Tanner and continued to move forward They soon forgot about this little episode
It was already getting dark by the time they went back. Tanner had asked Suzy to stay for dinner before asking Jordy to take her back.
When Jordy was driving her back to Royal Court, he finally asked while they were in the car," Is Sunny Shirley the girl who was exchanged with you by mistake?"
Suzy said in a light tone, "That's her."
Jordy's handsome and elegant profile stayed indifferent as usual when he continued to ask, " So, you did it on purpose?"
Suzy laughed and said, "Yes!"
She could obey her grandpa's words to treat others with kindness, but that did not mean enduring others' provocations over and over again. Her temper was not that exceptionally good.
Jordy knew Suzy well like the back of his hand. That Sunny girl must have been the one who provoked Suzy first, hence Suzy had lost her patience with her. The man's gentle and handsome eyes were cold. He said lightly, "Well, it was indeed rather unsatisfactory." Suzy raised her eyebrows. Although she was not a fan of Sunny, she did not deliberately belittle her painting. Sunny's skills were really good. It was just that the charm and artistic conception of the painting was slightly lacking. If it were not for Zyaire, she would not have gotten into the exhibition.
As the car gradually approached Royal Court, Jordy asked, "Are you renting the place by yourself?"
"Yes!"
"Which one?"
Suzy told him the building number and floor. It was very close to the unit Jordy wanted to offer her.
When they arrived at Royal Court, Jordy wanted to walk her in. However, when they arrived downstairs, Jordy raised his head and suddenly asked again, "Are you sure you live alone?" Just as Suzy was about to nod her head, she looked up and was dumbfounded. The lights in the house were turned on.
George came over?
He came over so early!
Suzy looked at Jordy's questioning gaze and pretended to be calm as she said, "This is my second uncle's house from my dad's side, you see. He'll occasionally drop by to check on the place"
Jordy's eyes remained cold and indifferent. After a short pause, he said, "Your father is the second son of the Shirley family. Do you have another second uncle?"
Suzy," "
