The server took Suzy to the eighth floor. She opened the door and entered while saying respectfully, "Ms. Shirley is here!"

Suzy was standing behind the server. The lights in the private room flickered around, and it was dark inside. There were men and women, but she could not tell who was who. Then, someone came over and said something in the server's ear.

The server turned her head and smiled at Suzy as she said, "The person celebrating their birthday inside hopes that you can hand the cake to them and wish them a happy birthday!"

Suzy had a thought and asked, "Is the person celebrating the birthday a young lady?" The server said without any hesitation, "Yes!" Suzy merely thought perhaps this girl liked Sherman as well, so knowing that she was someone sent by him, the girl made such a request.

Since she had come this far, there was no reason to refuse at this point. She should help out to the very end!

Suzy nodded and said, "Sure." The server communicated with the people at the door and gave Suzy a hand gesture. "Please, Ms. Shirley!"

Suzy nodded, took the cake out of the box, held it in her hands, and walked to the private room. As the lights were turned off in the private room, it was pitch-black. People's heads were only faintly visible.

The person sitting in the middle of the sofa was wearing a luminous happy birthday headband, so it was easy for Suzy to walk toward them. Suzy held the cake and approached slowly. She was now so close that she could see the other party's silhouette.

Suzy stopped and looked at the person on the opposite side. The whole private room was silent as if there were only the two of them.

After a long while, the man smiled and said, "Why aren't you wishing me a happy birthday?" Suzy said through gritted teeth, "Is this fun for you, Sherman Miller?" A whistle sounded in the private room, then the dim yellow lights came on. Everyone surrounded the two of them and laughed out loud.

There was a headband on Sherman's head, and his face was incredibly handsome paired with his enchanting eyes. He looked at Suzy and smiled as he said, "Thank you for the cake!"

Suzy was stifling back a vicious rage in her chest. She looked at the man coldly, wanting to raise her hands and smash the cake on his abominable face.

However, she did not do it as she could not bear to do such a thing to the cake! Nelly made it herself, and she had spent money on it. Hence, it should not be wasted! Suzy's face was sullen. She turned around while holding the cake and left. On the same floor, room number 8809 was equally noisy and lively. George was sitting in the rest area chatting with James, while the others played cards or sang. Occasionally, someone would come over to call George over to play cards with them. However, seeing that he was not in a good mood, all of them retreated awkwardly.

James was swiping his phone and suddenly smiled in amusement. Then, he showed something to George, "Did you say that the silly girl isn't Sherman's? Look what the guy posted!" Sherman had posted on Instagram ten minutes ago, and he wrote: (Thank you, my love! I'll be satisfied no matter what you give me!)

There were two photos side by side. One was a photo of the cake, and the three words 'I Love You' on the cake were very eye-catching.

Then, the other photo was a screenshot of their text exchanges. The other party asked him if he was satisfied with the cake, and Sherman replied with a 'Yes!' as well as a 'Thank you, baby!

James smiled and said, "Look at the cake box. Isn't it the one that the little girl was carrying over earlier? She made Sherman look modest, so it seems like he must like her somehow!"

George stared at the photo of the cake, read the text exchange twice, then his gaze finally landed on the words 'I Love You'. He looked at it without so much as a blink. The bottom of his eyes seemed to have frozen!

It felt as if there was a wave surging in his chest, and his face was extremely gloomy. After a short while, George suddenly got up and strode out.
