Chapter 144

After dinner, George went back to the study. He stood by the window, and ten minutes later, he saw Suzy get out of the car.

Her complexion was fair, and her eyes were as shimmering as the stars in the sky. As she walked to the villa unhurriedly, the sun shone on her face, casting a soft light on her delicate and fair face.

She did not look up, not knowing that someone was looking at her.

The servant was already very familiar with Suzy, so he politely greeted her and asked her if she wanted to drink something.

After Suzy thanked him and declined, she went upstairs to start the class with Ean.

Ean said he would surprise her after his exam, and Suzy said she would surprise him too.

After class, when Suzy went downstairs, she was caught off guard when she saw George playing with David in the living room.

This was the first time they met since he reprimanded her that day. The man was squatting on the carpet as he stroked David's head. When he lifted his head to look over, his eyes were deep, and his gaze landed on her softly.

She pretended not to see him and walked straight to the entrance.

"Why are you walking so fast? The kitchen made your favorite tomato soup. Please stay for dinner," Ean said behind her.

Suzy turned her head while changing her shoes, Just as George stood up and walked over to her, their eyes met. Then, Suzy looked away and said to Ean, "No, I still have something to do. I'll be heading out first."

George said in a deep voice, "Are you saying you don't need lunch because you have something to do?"

Suzy's voice was the same as usual but with a hint of alienation in her insipid warmth, "1 can eat on the road."

After saying goodbye to Ean, she turned and left.

Ean looked at George suspiciously. "Did you have a light with Ms. Shirley?"

There was a dark look in George's eyes. "Why do you say that?"

"She didn't even say goodbye to you. I think she doesn't want to see you since she doesn't want to stay for lunch."

George, ".."

He strode to the restaurant with a sullen face. "Whatever. Do you think we can beg her to eat?"

Ean shrugged. When he recalled that Suzy said she would give him a surprise after the exam, he suddenly felt that something was not right.

In the evening, Suzy came out of the shower and saw the eagle's head appearing on her phone.

She then took her phone and went to the study.

The study was exactly the same as her study in Green Garden. When she got close, the computer in the middle automatically turned on. Soon, the two monitors on the opposite side also lit up.

Goshawk's childish voice could be heard. "Boss, I was looking for you!"

Suzy grunted a reply, "What's the matter?"

"We haven't accepted any missions for a long time. I'm so bored! Hurry up and accept a mission!"

From the other side, Sage Eagle suddenly said, "I just happened to be looking for you. Next time, we can contact you on the phone."

Goshawk wondered aloud, "Are you not scared that they'll steal our information?"

Sage Eagle said coolly, "I've already made an interception program. I'll send it to your phones later."

Goshawk cheered twice. "Sage, you're so cool!"

Sage Eagle rolled their eyes at her and continued, "This program will only acknowledge its owner. It will not only block outside intrusions, but it'll also protect the IPs of the three of us from being tracked. It won't allow it even if it's one of our own, for example, me. If your phone is lost or stolen, it'll automatically self-destruct, keeping all our information and privacy safe."

"Wow!" Goshawk cried out again.

Suzy raised her head and said, "Thanks for the hard work."

Sage Eagle said calmly, "It's what I should do."

Suzy said, "Okay, then we'll communicate by phone. Start the mission program and I'll resume accepting missions."
