Chapter 159 "There's no need."
When Suzy came out of the private room, she was still thinking about James' words. If the men who tried to take her were indeed hired by Sena, George must have done something when she heard him calling to investigate the mastermind. She merely assumed that he did not manage to replace anything out and the matter was over at that. However, it turned out that George had found out it was Sena and even took revenge for her.
Why did he not say anything? Suzy leaned against the wall. Her heart was sour and felt somewhat swollen. She took out her phone and wanted to call George to at least thank him for everything.
However, after a moment of hesitation, she did not make the call.
It had been so long since it happened. Maybe he had forgotten about it..
Suzy thought that she would simply keep this favor in her heart and replace an opportunity to repay him in the future.
Back in the lounge, Winter and a few others were all there. They had probably heard about the matter that took place in Room 8807 earlier. The gazes they used to look at Suzy were filled with suspicion, trepidation, and a trace of jealousy,
Winter asked tentatively, "Suzy, do you happen to know Mr. Collins?" Suzy said in a low voice, "I wouldn't say that we're close acquaintances. Perhaps a friend of a friend." Seeing that even Calvin had suffered humiliation under Suzy's hands, Luna's heart grew even more stifled than before. She sneered mockingly: "If she really knew Mr. Collins, she wouldn't be here as a server like the rest of us. You're so funny, Winter!" The others also relaxed after hearing her words and started doing their own things. In the next two days, Suzy gradually got acquainted with the work and environment on the eighth floor, Everything went rather smoothly for her. Luna also started restraining herself a little, and Suzy no longer encountered any more groping customers like Calvin.
On Friday night, as soon as George got home, he received a call from James. "We're in Kelsen. Come out and play." George had his suit jacket hung on his arm and was walking upstairs. "I'm not going. You boys have fun!"
"You haven't been coming for a while now. Are you in a bad mood?" James asked with a smile. "No!" George's interest in the conversation was waning, and he refused to talk any longer. James smiled meaningfully. "Guess who I saw just now?" George was not interested, and his voice was lazy when he said, "Who?" "That silly little girl of yours. She's working as a server in Kelsen and brought some drinks over to us just now," said James as he smiled lightly. George grabbed onto his tie and narrowed his eyes. "Are you talking about Suzy?" "Yes! She started working here a few days ago. I saw her once and forgot to tell you about it. At the time, Calvin Leander was giving her a hard time. I was the one who helped her out." George's eyes were dark as he asked in a deep voice, "Why was Leander giving her a hard time?"
James recalled the situation that day and repeated everything again, "That silly girl sure is crabby. She's ruthless with her slaps too. Calvin's face was swollen after getting hit by her. By the way, I saw Calvin here just now too. I wonder if he's going to stir up some trouble with her
again?"
After James was done saying his piece, George had already hung up the phone. James looked at the phone, and a meaningful smile appeared on the corner of his lips.
In less than half an hour, James was playing cards with others when he saw George enter the door.
The others stood up one after another. They greeted George and gave up the middle position on the sofa to him.
James gave up his seat for another person and walked toward George. He sat down and joked with him, asking, "Didn't you say you weren't coming?"
George shot a glance at him and said, "How long has she been here?"
James did the math. "The day I saw her, she said it was her first day of work, so it should be the fourth day now." George frowned at this. "Why didn't you tell me sooner?" James shrugged innocently. "She told me not to tell you." George's face sank a little, and he asked again, "Where's Calvin Leander?" "At Room 8803." "Tell him to come over!"
