Around noon that day, James made a fuss about being discharged from the hospital, saying that the hospital bed was making his back feel itchy and that he was getting a headache. He said he felt nauseated from smelling the disinfectant in the hospital. In short, the guy was uncomfortable all over.

The doctor explained to James that it was normal for people who had concussion to have headaches and nausea.

Then, James asked him with a sullen face, "Have you ever had a concussion?"

The doctor, "..."

They went on to check James' new physical examination report and confirmed that there were no other internal problems. Thus, they allowed him to be discharged from the hospital.

James did not return to his own place but stayed in Royal Court instead where Nelly had to care for him.

Once they returned to Royal Court, the male nurse who came with him helped him to take a bath and change him into his pajamas.

Then, James lay on his bed. Perhaps because he had exerted quite a big amount of energy, he fell asleep as soon as his head hit the pillow.

Seeing that he was sleeping so soundly, Nelly packed up her things and went out as well after sending the hospital personnel out. Nelly first went to the dessert shop to apply for a week's leave, then headed to the supermarket to buy some ingredients. She had plans to make soup for James to replenish his strength as she truly wanted to make up for her fault.

Upon returning home, James was still sound asleep. Hence, Nelly went to the kitchen to make the chicken soup.

She had not slept all night, so Nelly quickly fell asleep on the kitchen counter while making the soup. After some time, she was woken up by the sound of the soup bubbling on the top lid. She immediately woke up to check on it. The chicken soup was almost done, and Nelly quickly scooped up some chicken soup into a bowl. She carried it to the master bedroom.

It was already dark outside when Nelly placed the soup on the coffee table next to James. When she turned her head, she saw James staring at her. Nelly quivered from shock.

James smiled at her and said, "What are you afraid of? Don't worry too much. I can't do much at the moment."

Nelly's face was slightly flushed as she replied, "Are you awake? I've made some chicken soup. Have some. It's good for you."

"Turn on the lights!" The man had just woken up, so his voice was rather hoarse and low. There was an indescribable magnetic ambiguity to it. Nelly imrnediately turned on the lights in the room and walked over to ask, "How are you feeling?"

James frowned and said, "Help me up." Then, Nelly quickly ran over to help him up. She leaned over and put a pillow behind him so that James could place his back on it more comfortably. As she was leaning over to reach for the pillow, her entire body was vertically placed in front of James. That was when he got a whiff of a very light fragrance. It was sweet and pure. He could not help taking a deep breath. 1 It was very different from the perfume those other women wore. When Nelly noticed him breathing in, she thought he was not feeling well. She turned around and asked, "What's wrong? Did I touch your wound?" James leaned against the head of the bed and hugged the pillow instead. As he stared at her cute and round face, he calmly said, "It's nothing. It just hurt a bit. I'm fine now!" Nelly turned around and brought the chicken soup over. "Drink it while it's hot. You can rest for a while after drinking the soup!" James frowned while looking at the contents in the bowl. "What is it?" "Chicken soup," said Nelly. James looked at her speechlessly. "Are you taking care of a woman who's just given birth?"

Nelly was first startled by this before she looked at James. As she had hit his head and he scratched the middle of his forehead when he fell down, the doctor had wrapped white gauze around the middle of his forehead.

At this moment, the man was leaning against the head of the bed while covered with a blanket. Coupled with the smell of chicken soup filling the air in the room, he truly did seem like a new mother.

Nelly could not help but feel like laughing. However, she felt that the situation was inappropriate. Hence, she tried her best to stifle it back. She pursed her lips tightly. Unable to control the quivering of her shoulders, the chicken soup almost spilled out of the bowl. James said calmly, "Why don't you let it all out first? You may come care for me once you're done."

Nelly burst into laughter and apologized while holding her laughter back. "Don't overthink it. New mothers aren't the only people who have chicken soup."
