Sunny's palms were sweating while holding the phone. "Grandpa, I just graduated. I don't want to discuss this sort of matter for the time being."

Harold was silent for a moment. His voice then became cold, "Sunny, business hasn't been good in the past two years. The Shirley family is no longer like how we used to be in our prime. River City's about to develop a big project in the near future, and it just so happens that Giannis' uncle is in charge. If our family gets along well, we're likely to get involved in the project as well."

He said earnestly, "The Shirley family has raised you for more than 20 years, Neenee. It can't all be in vain. I know that you've always been sensible. You should know what gratitude is."

Sunny's throat became tighter. "I know that I've received great kindness from the Shirley family, Grandpa. I'll definitely be filial to my parents and grandparents in the future." Harold smiled lightly. "There's no need to wait further into the future. Now, there's already an opportunity for you to do your part." He said meaningfully, "It stands to reason that Suzy is the Shirley family's blood-related kin. Hence, your parents' wealth should be given to her, but if you're obedient, I won't forget you." Sunny's mind started buzzing. After a short while, she asked, "Where do I meet him?" "Six o'clock in the evening, Champs Elysees' West Bank. Do your best." After hanging up the phone, Sunny's hands and feet were still cold for quite some time. There was only one thought in her mind-the Shirley family was about to sell her off!

Usually, Harold and Victoria were kind and loving toward her as if she were their own granddaughter. However, when it came to a critical moment, she realized that in their eyes, she was only a commodity that could be exchanged for greater benefits. Why did they not have Suzy marry Giannis instead?

Was it because she was not biologically related to them? Was that why she could be given up at will?!

No. She had been pampered for 20 years. She could not allow herself to be destroyed by them.

There was a flash in Sunny's eyes, and she soon had an idea. After Suzy was done with class in the afternoon and when she was leaving the classroom, she received a call from Sunny. As soon as the call was connected, Sunny sounded choked up as she called out to Suzy. She began to weep. She cried and sobbed uncontrollably. Suzy walked to a place where no one was around and asked, "What's going on, Sunny?" Sunny sounded out of breath and panicked as she said, "Help me, Zeezee. Please!" Suzy said calmly, "Tell me what's going on?"

Sunny sniffed a few times before sobbing as she said, "Grandpa called me today and asked me to get together with Giannis Xenakis because he needs Giannis' uncle to help him with bidding for a project. You must've heard of Giannis before."

Sunny's crying voice was even sadder now, "He's a divorcee and even committed domestic violence on his ex-wife. If I marry into the Xenakis family, I'll definitely not survive it. I'm going to be a fresh graduate. I still have many things I'd like to do. I don't want to get married, let alone marry into the Xenakis family."

Suzy asked, "Do Mom and Dad know?"

Sunny cried out pitifully, "They don't. Grandpa's not allowing me to tell Mom and Dad. He said that the Shirley family has raised me for more than 20 years. He wants me to repay the Shirley family now. Please help me, Zeezee!"

Suzy said, "How can I help you?"

Sunny said helplessly, "I don't know either. I'm so scared right now and have zero ideas. I don't have the guts to tell Mom and Dad, so I can only call you. The only one I can rely on now is you, Zeezee." She sobbed and continued, "Grandpa asked me to go to Champs Elysees' West Bank at six o'clock this evening to see Giannis. Why don't you come with me, Zeezee? I can't go alone." Suzy was silent for a moment. "Alright. I'll go with you."

"Thank you, Zeezee. You're the best!" Sunny's voice was hoarse from crying. "I'll wait for you at West Bank at six o'clock. You must come!" "Mm-hmm. I'll definitely be there!"

Suzy hung up the phone, and there was a cold look on her beautiful face. In the evening, around six o'clock, the Shirley family's driver took Sunny to Champs Elysees' West Bank

Sunny asked the driver to park the car on the opposite side, but she did not get out of the car and just kept staring at West Bank's entrance. At exactly six o'clock, she saw Suzy get out of the cab and walk into the restaurant.
