Yvette thought. Was the person threatening me with surveillance videos to transfer my shares actually Shakira? I know it was them who had set me up at the birthday party. So, was this an entirely Shakira's doing, or did Mitchell also get involved?! All sorts of guesses and questions filled her mind.

Yvette accidentally brushed her hand against the small butter knife, and it fell to the ground. A servant hurried over to pick it up, surprising Yvette into locking her phone's screen quickly. "Miss, do you need a new knife?" they asked. Yvette's heart was pounding hard. "No, no, thank you." At that moment, alerted by the noise, the Nelson family turned their attention toward her.

Cody asked, "Yvette, what do you think about this?"

Yvette was a bit confused, having not kept up. "What?"

Rebecca thought Yvette was overthinking and getting upset, so she quickly went over to comfort her. "Yvette, don't keep things bottled up. If you don't want us to meet Shakira, just say it. Her heart skipped a beat, but she managed a smile on her pale face, trying her best. "I'll follow your lead, Mitchell," she said. Mitchell sighed deeply. "Yvette, I'm glad you feel this way because it shows everyone's efforts in caring for you haven't been wasted. Actually, I want to take this chance to formally apologize to Shakira, as the issue partly started because of me..."

"Silly child, this has nothing to do with you; it was Lago who was too arrogant and self-centered!" Rebecca said, gently squeezing her hand. "Lago has already faced the consequences he deserves, and the company's practically done for because of his own actions, so stop dwelling on it!"

Without knowing the exact details, Yvette's brow furrowed. "What happened to his company..."

Finn, who hadn't said anything until now, spoke up. "Lago's company hasn't been managed well and is experiencing serious financial issues. Most of the key staff and employees have voluntarily resigned, leaving it as just an empty shell. The minor shareholders have already sold off their shares, and it probably won't last much longer."

After a brief pause, Finn spoke again with some uncertainty. "My team just received news that someone has bought all the remaining stocks of his company, and today an emergency shareholders' meeting was convened to remove Lago from his position. I heard they put a cleaner in charge of the company."

Mitchell burst into laughter, feeling extremely pleased. "A cleaner? Hahaha, who came up with such a clever idea to exhaust Lago? It's absolutely brilliant!"

Yvette's face turned pale. She thought, 'No wonder Lago sent those messages to insult me. He must really hate me now!'

Finn shook his head. "We haven't gotten to the bottom of it yet, but I suspect it's from the Lopez family." Rebecca frowned. "Walter? What's his involvement in this?"

"Of course it matters. Now that Shakira and Walter are dating, it's only normal for Walter to retaliate when his girlfriend is bullied by Lago. Isn't that understandable?"

Mitchell said, "Originally, this matter should have been handled by our Nelson family. Now it seems outsiders are getting involved."

At the end of the hallway, around the corner, Mitchell leaned against the wall as he took the call. "How's the investigation going?"

"Are you sure you can't replace it? That can't be right, don't hospitals keep records of all births? How can it be impossible to track down?"
