This country boy was begging to work with her, so why was she acting like she needed hisapproval?

"Listen, country boy, if you don't like my factory, go replace another one to manufacture your products!When it comes to quality control, my Zen Byte is number two in the whole of New York, and no onedares claim number one!"

"With this run-down place you call a factory, I doubt there's any quality to control. The building isfalling apart, there are weeds everywhere, and not a worker in sight. How can you manufactureanything?"

"Just convince me to take on TMO's manufacturing, and I'll have the workers ready in no more thanthree days. Because my Zen Byte has the best management team around."

"Jennifer, do you understand who the client is here? Am I supposed to convince you? Shouldn't itbe the other way around?"

Hearing him talk about who's in charge, Jennifer's face darkened as she asked, "What did you justsay? Client?"

"I'm telling you to get it straight, who's the client here?"

"You didn't bring me all the way here just to show me this dump, did you? And those thugs earlier,did you set that up?"

"Set that up? Why would I arrange for a robbery against myself? I don't even know those guys! Buthey, you tossing them into the septic tank was pretty heroic."

"So why exactly did you bring me here? This place is a mess—it's worse than the wilds. At least inthe wilderness, we could breathe the fresh air. But in this dump, you can't escape the stench ofmildew!"

She fumed. "Shut your mouth, stop spouting nonsense, or you'll see what I'm capable of!"

"What are you going to do?"

"I'll shut you up for good!"

"Tearing up my mouth? Boring! How about we tear each other's clothes instead? A tear here, a tearthere, that would be way more fun!"

Jennifer stomped her foot in anger, but truth be told, she was at a loss with Daniel.

For some reason, even though she should despise this country boy, his jokes and flirtatiouscomments didn't make her mad. In fact, she felt a tiny bit... fond of him.

No! How could she possibly like this country bumpkin? She absolutely couldn't fall for this jerk!

"If you want me to manufacture for TMO, first, you need to deal with the ownership issues with thisfactory," she said.

"Ownership issues? Are you saying this factory isn't yours?"
