Andrew's statements carried a bold arrogance, eliciting only a snide chuckle from Daniel. In aneffort to prod Andrew into revealing his plans, Daniel said with a grin, "So it sounds like TheArmstrongs have secured more powerful assistance than The Grants now?"

"Of course!" Andrew readily continued, pride swelling in his voice. "The Matthews family, rankingthird among New York's 'The Eight Families,' has decided to cooperate with us, The Armstrongs.Next week, at the grand 80th birthday celebration of a distinguished family elder, we, TheArmstrongs, will represent New York's business community to pay our respects!"

"Attending a birthday at The Matthews, so impressive, isn't it?" Daniel commented cheekily.

"It's more than impressive; it's the ultimate honor for us and for all of New York!"

"So attending a birthday is the ultimate honor now? What if I married The Matthews' youngestgranddaughter? Wouldn't that be even more glorious?"

Daniel's comment prompted uproarious laughter from Andrew. "Hahaha..."

After his laughter subsided, Andrew spoke with mock gravity, "What did you say? You, a countrybumpkin, marry The Matthews' granddaughter? With your hillbilly background? I bet you don't evenhave the privilege of catching a glimpse of her from afar."

"Seeing her is no big deal; I could just end up sleeping with The Matthews' youngest granddaughter.But you wouldn't know, would you? She smells divine. Every inch of her is fragrant, so tempting itmakes you want to nibble on her gently."

"You're insufferable! For uttering such vile words, if The Matthews family heard it, they would tearyou to pieces and ensure you'd be tormented for eternity! You wouldn't dare to lay eyes on TheMatthews' youngest granddaughter!"

Unable to endure the conversation any longer, Jessica didn't want to reveal her connection to TheMatthews. She didn't want to be associated with the family.
