Madsion POV

I squealed with delight as Zane swung me around as if I weighed nothing, and I tried not to be embarrassed as the Alpha gave us a smirk.

Zane asked for us to meet in the inner office, so we turned around. Zane placed his arm around my waist and drew me in close, making me feel good after my day out on the field and I am glad I showered the moment I arrived back.

Alpha was not surprised to hear that the Dark River Pack was seen in the cave area, especially after I had just met the Advisor.

He had a hint it might be them, call it Alpha’s gut feeling.

It felt like I was getting somewhere.

Identifying the pack behind the raids was a big step, though I still had my doubts about the Northern Pack. Was it part of this too?

If so, that means, the Northern Pack, Dark River Pack and rogues all together, and the advisor being the chosen Alpha of them all? That sounds super scary, and to think we have at least ten Northern Pack and Twenty top warriors from the Dark River Pack, walking freely around the grounds, getting ready for the invasion.

We headed to the barracks, Zane with me wrapped in his arms, giving me a taste of what it would be like when we are mated. Zane seemed to be caring and not afraid to show it.

The barracks are clean and tidy, the staff are doing well, that is until we reach the third barracks and I want to throw up. The stench is almost unbearable on the second floor and I use Zane to help hold me up. We continued on as if nothing was a miss, seeing the rest of the barracks and the dining hall.

Graham is there and sees me in a bad way. Alpha asks him to join us and we returned to the inner room.

‘Okay, out with it.’ Graham says as he takes me out of Zanes’ arms.

‘Graham, you are going to need to sit down for this and I need you to promise me you won’t get off your trolley over it, we need to plan things out and if you go out rampaging revenge you will blow our whole operation.’ I urge.

‘What are you talking about?’

‘Alpha, can you command him so he can’t run out of here and start a war?’ I pleaded with Alpha.

Alpha commands Graham not to act without his permission, and you can see the command settle in.

‘Now, tell me, what all that was about?’ he growls at being commanded over something he has no idea about.

‘I have found the pack and possible the ring leader who killed mum and Luna.’ I stated.

‘Who?’ he asked as he suddenly sat down on a chair with force, his face pale.

‘The Advisor is in with the rogues, along with the Dark River pack, and we are still not sure about the Northern Pack, but they could be part of it too.’ Alpha advices him.

‘Are you sure Mad?’

‘Yes, I met the Advisor today, and you know how good my nose is, he could not hide that stench from me, and I did not know the other scent until we went to the barracks and the floor. The whole floor wrecks of rogues.’

‘I saw a warrior from the Dark River pack come out of the caves today on the monitor, the one with the clearing in front.’ Zane adds.’

‘What’s the plan, Alpha?’ Graham asked.

‘We are about to phone you’re Alpha and see if he wants to be part of this, he has the right to be here or send more men to be his voice.’ Alpha grabs his phone and dials our Alpha; he puts the call on speaker.

‘Alpha Ezekiel, Greetings, I hope my team are behaving.’ Alpha Daniel greets with mirth.

‘They are excellent warriors and my future daughter -in-law is amazing.’ He chuckles back.

‘What can I do for you, Alpha?’

‘Are you sitting Alpha?’ I asked.

‘Madison? Yes, I am sitting.’

‘We have found the people responsible for Mum and Luna’s death.’ I said softly.

I heard something fall on the floor and waited for a while for Alpha to say something.

‘Talk to me, tell me all.’

Alpha takes over the conversation. I am pulled onto Zanes lap and he strokes small circles on my back, my brother is sitting on the sofa, looking lost and angry at the same time.

In the end, Alpha Danel is going to come here in five days, with over a hundred warriors, and he is going to leave his son in charge in case he doesn’t make it back. He had intended to hand the pack over to him this full moon. He will just do it tonight instead, and they will come and join the fight.

We are to keep doing what we are doing now, and finish putting the cameras out in the mine and cave areas, and to make sure that the Dark River pack only goes to places we have no worries about.

They won’t be sent to the caves or the mine areas.

Graham is glad Alpha Daniel is coming, and will do his best not to show how he feels about what is going on, and not to say anything to the others.

I will wait for Alpha Daniel to talk to us.
