Elisha's

POV:

I kept a close eye on them all day after discovering they would hit the stores. I was eager to go near the king's mate and pup and make them panic. When they passed the burger joint, Cory said she was craving a burger; I immediately put my magic to work. As soon as I stepped into the building, my ears perked up at the sound of the manager's voice. And there it was - a tidbit of juicy information that made my day - a new hire was soon to arrive. It was almost as if fate was smiling down on me when I caught a glimpse of the photo of the latest addition to their staff. I sprayed some potion on myself, and voila!! am now Jessica, the new waitress at Growling Joe's Burger.

As soon as I entered the restaurant's main floor through the back door, I unexpectedly met Hannah.

"Hey! Are you Jessica? The new waitress?"

"Uh, yes!"

"Weren't you supposed to start on Friday? I am surprised to see you here early!" Hannah curiously asked.

"Yup! But I can't wait! I have wanted a job for so long, and now that I have it, I want to jump-start quickly." My words were filled with the utmost eagerness, fitting for someone fresh on the job. "Oh, that's great! And I love the enthusiasm!"

"So, is there anything I can do today? Maybe take some orders?"

"Hmm. Yeah! Part of being a waitress is to help make the milkshakes. Why don't you try it?"

"That's Perfect! What kind of milkshakes do I need to

make"?"

"A vanilla shake, two strawberry shakes, and one chocolate.

And then, serve it on that table over there" Wonderful! It's their table!

"I'm on it! I'll make the perfect milkshake."

"Ha ha ha! I hope you keep that energy! Oh, by the way, the chocolate is for a pregnant lady, so she requested less sugar on hers. Let me know if you need help."

Well, I have just decided now that a chocolate-flavored milkshake is unavailable. Instead, we have a new flavor - blueberry shake and a little sprinkle of dark magic.

Blueberries are known to have various benefits, such as restoring beauty, youth, and memory. They also provide protection against certain health issues. With just a touch of sorcery, it has the power to create a completely different outcome. However, it could significantly impact pregnant wolves, causing them to become highly agitated, stressed, or physically weakened. And that's my goal for today!

"Hannah, I think we ran out of chocolate powder."

"Huh? That's weird. We just had the supplier deliver another batch last week. And I saw some a while ago. Let me check"."

Snap! I seem to have Hannah under my spell. In the coming days, she may struggle to recall the details of today's events.

"You're right. I must have been stressed lately. I was seeing things. Ha ha ha! I'll just inform the customer."

"No need. I have a brilliant idea!"

"Uh, are you sure? How about the manager?"

"Don't worry about it! If the customer likes it, we might expect a big tip and a bonus!"

"Hmm. OK!"

I got to work on their milkshakes, and soon enough, I was back at their table with their delicious treats. As soon as Hannah got tied up with other customers, I saw my chance to get closer to Cory. "Miss, but I ordered a chocolate milkshake."

"Oh my! Our apologies, madam! My colleague forgot that we ran out of chocolate powder. But no worries, we have a new flavor. It's blueberry. And I heard that you are pregnant.

Blueberry is rich in vitamins that are good for you and the child. Do you want to try it? It's also on the house!"

"Hmm. I appreciate it, but I'll just have a glass of water."

I left their table and went back to the counter. I made sure to add an attractive aroma to the shake so it would work.

There was something quite peculiar about her ability to withstand it. And that's when I noticed the necklace on her-that amulet. I checked if everyone had protection on them, and as suspected, they were wearing them as bracelets, necklaces, or rings. It's possible that the high priestess bestowed it upon them. I must get rid of them! But not today. For now, I must retreat.

****

As the evening drew to a close, I decided to pay a visit to the coven. I went directly to the high priestess' office. As soon as the door opened, the high priestess was taken aback to replace me standing before her.

"E-Elisha, what a surprise! What are you doing here?"

"Just paying you a visit."

"Oh, thank you. S-so, how have you been?"

"Doing good, actually! How about you? Made any friends recently?"

"What?"

"You know, big and furry friend."

Her complexion grew ashen before my eyes. She knew what I was talking about. I strongly believe that she was the sole individual capable of providing the wolves with those amulets.

"Ah! Y-yes! They came here looking for you the other day."

"And?"

"I told them you left. I would have told them to return here if you'd been back."

"Enough with the pleasantries. What other items aside from the amulets were provided for them?" My tone shifted to something more assertive this time.

"N-nothing. Just the amulet."

"I am aware that you are not telling the truth! Your eyes betrayed you, and sweat was dripping down your face. So, what else?"

She took a deep breath and allowed herself a moment to calm herself, "I said nothing. It would be best for you to depart immediately, Elisha. You have been expelled from this coven. And you are a wanted creature. We refuse to be affiliated with a felon. Leave." "What will you do if I don't?"

"Then, I will have no choice."

I was taken aback as she began to gesture and recite incantations as if attempting to cast a spell on me. If she's up for a fight, then I'm ready to take her on. She unleashed a mighty thunderbolt, conjuring a searing orb of flames and hurling it straight at me. What a powerful spell, but it won't work on me. I conjured a magical incantation to craft a protective shield.

"Is that all you've got, high priestess?"

She was engulfed by flames that were larger and more intense than ever before, and those flames were shooting from different directions. I attempted to evade every single ball of fire hurled my way, but unfortunately, one managed to slip past my shield and struck me. Suddenly, she moved at lightning-fast speed and seized the chance to strike me once again. I found myself under attack as the high priestess unleashed a flurry of punches and kicks.

"What now, Elisha? Is this all you've got?" The words of the high priestess carried a tone of mockery towards me.

"Be careful what you wish for, high priestess."

"Ha! Say your last words then, Elisha."

"You should be the one saying yours!"

"W-what's happening?! I, uh, I can't move!"

Just before she pounced, I quickly cast a spell to keep her frozen in place. She found herself completely immobilized and powerless to conjure any enchantments.

"High priestess, you were saying something?" I approached her with a grin of mockery on my face.

"F-f-forbi-bidden..."

"I can't understand what you're saying. Speak properly, please."

"F-forbi-bidden m-ma-magic..."

"OH! That's better. Forbidden magic, you say? Ha ha ha!

Don't say that. Let's say it's so powerful that all of you witches are just too weak to harness it. Now, high priestess, I am giving you a chance. What else did you give them?" "N-no-nothing...."

With a twisting motion, I elicited a hushed cry from her.

Thats the thing about this spell: I can control her body inside and out. I just squeezed her heart and made it stop for a millisecond. The high priestess was now pale and could barely breathe.

"One last time, high priestess. What else did you give them?"

"E-e-vil eye..." I could feel the pain in her ragged breathing.

An evil eye, huh? It could cause quite a bit of a hassle if they decide to utilize it. As long as that charm is in play, there's no way I could utilize the potion or effectively conceal myself. It is a must that I remove the amulets and evil eyes from them. Otherwise, my plans will all be in vain.

I must come up with a strategy to obtain those items from them.

"R-re-rem-ove t-th-the ma-magic..."

"Oh! I'm sorry, high priestess. But it's irreversible. I cannot undo the magic. You will die in 5 minutes. I suggest saying your prayers now."

As soon as it reached her ears, her gaze instantly grew wider in surprise. The realization of her dying made her go pale, and tears started falling from her eyes.

"I feel sorry for you. So, why don't I just make it quick for you?"

"N-n-no!"

With no hint of regret, I forcefully snapped my fingers. This ended her life instantly. Well, at least she didn't have to suffer any longer. She should be thankful I made it easy for her. Before leaving the coven, I pondered on how best to enter the kingdom or lure them towards me. Think, Elisha, think! I was fixated on the priestess' lifeless form when a sudden spark of inspiration ignited in my mind. I must say, I am thoroughly impressed with my own thinking! Without hesitation, I put my plan into action and called the wolves. "Yes, high priestess? What's the matter?" Tommy, as far as I recall his name, answered the call.

"E-Elisha! She was here! I need to talk to you immediately!

You must come here and bring the amulets and evil eyes.

S-She did something to those before she left! You are in grave danger!"

"Wha-What do you mean? Hello? Hello?"

I ended the call. Oh, Elisha! You're so brilliant! And now, I am waiting for their arrival.
