Chapter 1294 How Do You Plan to Deal With Them?

In the following days, Jenny would drop by Zack's room for a quick visit before work. Most of the time, she didn't need to enter to check on him because Janet was right by his side. Her presence would only be an interruption.

Zack was almost fully recovered. It was then he reached out to Jenny to ask her opinion on the best way to deal with Janet's parents. He received news that the Fausts and Walters had worked together to destroy the Britts, starting with an investigation into the club. The Britts were deeply corrupted and were in a precarious position after the targeted attacks by the two families.

Since Zack didn't need to worry about the Britts, his full attention was on Janet's parents, who might pose endless trouble for him if they were not handled well. He never ran from trouble, but he knew the last thing Janet wanted was to see her parents being a source of trouble. At the end of the day, none of them would be happy if her parents weren't taken care of.

After hearing Zack out, Jenny sank into a short silence. Then, she said," Zack, don't worry about this. I'll bring my men to iron this out."

"How do you plan to deal with them?" he asked.

"Well, since they planned to sell their daughter off, let's pretend that Janet has been sold off to stop them from contacting her." If she brought her men to send Janet's parents a warning, she believed that they wouldn't cause further trouble. However, she had to carefully think over the execution of the idea.

Zack looked a little concerned. "Will that work? We can't be too hard-handed because they're Janet's parents." He wouldn't have bothered if they weren't.

"Zack, don't worry about it. I have never let you down, have I?" She waved at him dismissively, thinking the task at hand was a piece of cake. "You should return to your room. You'll be discharged in two days." "Okay. After I'm discharged, I plan to marry Janet as soon as possible," he suddenly told her.

She was surprised at the confession, but she understood his feelings. "I'm okay with that. But we'll have to see if Janet's going to say yes."

"Of course she will." He sounded extremely confident, to which she merely smiled.

She had an inkling that Janet, who was currently troubled and stressed out, might not say yes to him right away. Anyway, it was not her place to comment on their relationship.

After Zack left, Jenny made a call to Melissa Collins. "Bring a few men with you and follow me on a trip."

"Where are we going?" Melissa questioned.

"Just running an errand. It won't take long." Jenny believed that dealing with Janet's parents would be a breeze.

Melissa agreed to join her. Jenny didn't leave immediately. Instead, she only took leave after doing her routine patient checks. She met Melissa at the hospital entrance.

She didn't inform Alec of her decision to meet with Janet's parents because he was in the thick of taking down the Britts. As for Gilbert...

Ever since Jenny's conversation with him, he never paid Zack another visit, as if he was prepared to let go of him. Jenny sighed at Gilbert's behavior- she was helpless in front of him.

"Let's go," she muttered, sitting in the passenger seat. Melissa drove her to the address provided with a car in tow that was filled with the men Melissa had brought with her.

Melissa never asked Jenny the reason they needed reinforcements. She'd do anything as long as it wasn't against her interest. Since she was deeply indebted to Jenny, she'd follow her orders without doubt or protest.
