Chapter 439 When Is This Going to End?

Alec was about to ask Jenny about the attack, but he was interrupted by some vicious-looking intruders who showed up at the door, clearly up to no good.

Jenny's expression fell as she thought, 'When will this end?" She rolled her fists and stared at the men. "So, are you after me too?"

The men exchanged glances of confirmation and nodded at each other. She then realized that they were indeed after her. Without wasting time, she wanted to charge at them. Not every person in Bardoff City was as skilled as her previous opponent, she'd like to believe, and she vowed to take her revenge.

However, Alec grabbed her wrist and pulled her back. "You're injured. Leave them to me."

Tm not "

Alec made his move. He was as fast as lightning, and the men were laying on the floor in no time, groaning in pain. They were obviously not at the same level as the female attacker. Jenny walked up and smiled at one of them. "Who sent you?"

The man remained quiet. She kept a smile on her face but stepped on his face without warning. "I'll ask you once more. Who sent you?"

The man grimaced in pain but remained silent. Jenny finally chuckled out loud. "You're a stubborn one, aren't you? I guess you're flirting with death." She turned to Alec and ordered, "Beat him to death.' Alec wanted to execute her orders. The men on the floor were shaking in fear as he sprang into action, and they totally believed he would end them.

Til talk! I'll talk!' Someone finally cracked, for none of them wanted to draw their last breath there.

Jenny was speechless at how fast they surrendered to Alec. "Was I not murderous enough just now?" she wondered as she stared at the man who spoke and waited for him to talk.

Soon, she found out that Christopher's parents were behind this planned attack, leaving her at a loss. Although she didn't have a good impression of his parents, she got along well with him. How could she possibly send his parents to jail? Moreover, she was waiting patiently for Harvey to wake up and ask him about her birth family.

Alec's face clouded when he noticed her conflicted look. "Are you not going to take action on them because they're Christopher's parents?"

She had indeed contemplated doing so.

'Why did you come to Bardoff City with him? Was it to meet his parents?" Alec had a dark expression as he fumed over the fact that Jenny had met Christopher's parents but not his.

Jenny knew there was a misunderstanding and explained, "I wasn't here to meet his parents. I wanted to meet his grandpa."

'Isn't that the same?" he wondered, speechless.

I have something to discuss with his grandpa," she attempted to explain again, but he scoffed in disbelief. She was unbothered, seeing no reason to explain further, given that there was no relationship between them.

"What are you going to do with them?" Alec stared at the men on the floor. If it were up to him, he would turn them in to the police and have the mastermind jailed.

Jenny clearly had different ideas. A moment later, she said, "Let's get someone to send them to Christopher. I believe that he'll take care of this problem.'

Judging from Christopher's attitude toward his parents, he might give them more trouble if he heard about their wicked plan. That would be better than dirtying her hands to teach Ben and Evelyn a lesson. However, Alec was upset at her decision and snickered, "What if he decides to protect his parents? Would you want to be taken advantage of?"

"He's not that kind of person," she explained.

'And do you know him well?" He stared squarely at her, livid.
