Chapter 458 Alfred's Identity

Jenny went to the venue bright and early on the day she had her free clinic appointment. There were mountains of people swarming in. She had to admire how clever the chairman was. Due to the plane incident, there were tons of people coming. They just had to know how many people were actually there for treatments.

Jenny didn't care about it since there was a triage before her. The people who got to her would definitely be people in need. She spent the entire day working.

Alec wasn't far off. His gaze rested on Jenny always, not leaving for even a moment.

Vincent sat in the driver's seat. He, too, felt that his president was paying a little too much attention to Jenny. "Mr. Faust, Miss Walter is safe," he said." You don't have to guard her every moment."

"How would you know? What if she gets in danger?" Alec said, his gaze still on Jenny.

Vincent smiled bitterly. It was broad daylight. How could there be danger lurking?

"You'd only pressure her, Mr. Faust." Vincent couldn't help saying it.

As expected, Alec shifted his gaze away. "But.J'm worried about her."

"I know you're doing it for her own good, but no one would be able to stand being watched 24/7."

Alec's face shifted. Could no one really stand it? He thought of what Jenny had said yesterday. He had to admit that Jenny was indeed annoyed by him. He sighed and rubbed his temples. "I don't know what's happening to me."

"Have you seen Dr. Hugh lately?" Vincent asked weakly. Alec had suddenly ordered him to replace a therapist before, and Vincent was happy when it happened. He thought that Alec was finally thinking things through. But now it seemed that Dr. Hugh wasn't doing anything. Alec's mental problems had not lessened. In fact, they seemed to have gotten worse.

Alec nodded. "I go every day, but it doesn't seem to work.'

Vincent thought so too, but he didn't say it out loud. He comforted Alec, saying, "Maybe it's just a phase. Illnesses get worse before they can get better."

Vincent regretted saying that. Illness? How could he say that Alec had an illness?

Thankfully, Alec didn't mind. He merely frowned, irritated. "Hopefully so." He was hoping that it was a sign of getting better, too. He didn't want things to remain like this forever.

He suddenly wanted to get a therapist because Jenny had mentioned his fear of the dark. Afterward, he thought it was time to face his fears, so he got Vincent to replace him one. They said he was the best therapist in the country, but Alec thought his methods weren't really working. He could be wrong.

He pushed the topic away. "Have you found anything on Mortimer's end?"

Ever since Jenny suddenly asked if Mortimer and Max's mother had a child, Alec knew that the question came from somewhere. Something must have happened to make Jenny ask him that. "Yes." Vincent handed him a document. "Mortimer has another son, indeed, n

Alec was speechless. There was an illegitimate child, after all, and they hadn't even bothered to cover it up. He'd found it out very easily. He looked at Alfred's details, his gaze turning cold. "No wonder he'd come back to fight for Faust Group. He wanted to get his son a part of the lion's share."

Alec knew that there was something off about Mortimer suddenly coming back. He seemed to want to change everything up, too. As it turned out, he had an ulterior motive.
