Marco then looked at Letta, who stood in front of their large house terrace, before waving his hand again.

"I'll be back quickly," Marco said, making Letta nod, even though she said she was okay being left by Marco. But still, Marco could see a trace of sadness in Letta's face, with eyes that seemed teary, which she tried her best to hold back. This made Marco not want to ruin Letta's efforts in vain when saying goodbye.

Marco immediately instructed Pedro to speed up his car to handle all the issues that had arisen in their big project in Chicago, while Letta could only exhale a long breath as she watched her husband's black car drive further away through the tall gates of their home.

Letta then looked towards the guards assigned to watch over her, maybe around 20 or more, who were now guarding around their house. Not to mention the assigned servants also increased, making Letta truly feel that her husband was concerned about her, but couldn't cancel his departure because of his duty as a company owner.

"Madam, will you have dinner now?" Desi asked, making Letta finally snap out of it when she no longer saw her husband's car. Even Marco's scent slowly faded, making Letta try to smile at Desi before nodding her head.

"Yes, please. You can prepare it now," Letta said, making Desi nod and then instruct Letta to go back inside. At this moment, Letta looked at the dishes that filled their large dining table. Although initially, Letta felt a bit uncomfortable because the dining table that should be occupied by 12 people now only had her eating alone. With a variety of dishes, it seemed to make Letta lose her appetite.

"Is the food not to your liking?" Desi asked, making Letta shake her head.

"No, the food is all delicious, you know. Marco assigned the best chef to our home. How could he cook something I don't like?" Letta said, making Desi look at her employer with raised eyebrows.

"Isn't eating alone uncomfortable and less enjoyable? Yes, at least before, there was always Marco accompanying me," Letta said, making Desi understand the loneliness her employer felt.

"Even though Marco has just left this house for not more than an hour, but I'm already complaining like this. I should be able to accept this because being Marco Jovanka's wife is not," Letta said again, making Desi just smile while nodding her head.

"I will accompany you. I'll stand over there,” Desi said again, making Letta look at the two servants who were also standing not far from her.

"No, can you join me for dinner?" Letta asked, making Desi shake her head.

"Forgive us, Madam, but we shouldn't eat in the same place as you," Desi said again, making Letta exhale a long breath.

"Yes, I understand. Thank you for serving me this delicious dinner," Letta replied, not wanting to insist on them because Letta knew they would feel uncomfortable and awkward if she kept persuading. Letta took bites of her food slowly. She truly didn't feel any appetite, which seemed to disappear with Marco's departure. Letta didn't even finish half of the dishes on her plate. "Desi, I'm done," Letta said, making Desi look at the food in front of her.

"Madam, but there's still a lot of food left. Shouldn't you eat a little more for your baby?" Desi said again, making Letta shake her head.

"For now, I don't have an appetite, Desi. Maybe I'll ask you to prepare a snack for me later tonight. Right now, I just want to go to the library, maybe I want to stroll around the house before I can sleep. That's how I can sleep soundly," Letta said again, making Desi nod her head.

Desi then told two other servants to clean up the dishes, while she started following Letta to the library of their home. Letta didn't come to the library too often because she preferred spending time in the garden or by the pool, besides in front of the large TV screen.

"Are there any novels in this library that I haven't read?" Letta asked because previously Letta always asked Desi to replace books for her, like romantic novels, and it seemed Desi also got them from this library.

"Many books you haven't read since Mr. Found out Madam likes such readings. Mr. Immediately ordered Pedro to replenish the book stock in this library, so many new books that you haven't read yet," Desi said, making Letta look at her immediately. Letta didn't know that her husband even paid attention to her reading.

"You can show me around; I think I want to try reading in this library instead of taking them to my room," Letta said, making Desi nod. The not-too-large library felt very comfortable with the dominant wooden atmosphere, making Letta feel like it was a library in a school or museum. Marco really designed it well, including this library.

Desi then brought four books in front of her. "These are recommended titles for you. Yes, they seem interesting," Desi said, making Letta look at the books.

"Okay, then I'll read one, and you can also read any book here. Instead of you waiting for me in silence, we better read together, right?" Letta said, making Desi nod. Desi picked one of the books she chose for Letta, and they fell silent, engrossed in the books in front of them.

Somehow, after starting it, Letta found it challenging to stop reading, especially if the novel was genuinely intriguing. Until finally, a scene in a novel made Letta furrow her brow. She seemed to remember something she wanted to ask, making Letta immediately look at Desi, who was also focused on her book.

"Desi, I want to ask something," Letta said, making Desi turn to her employer with a focused look.

"Marco once said that before I lost our memory, we were very close," Letta said, making Desi slightly stunned before nodding weakly.

"I don't know what Marco means by close. Does Marco's definition of close mean like we are now, the lady and her servant, or closer than that?" Letta asked again, making Desi silent for a moment. Of course, their relationship before Letta lost her memory was very different, Desi thought, but she couldn't possibly tell her. Desi finally shook her head.

"The definition of closeness according to the master is like this, maybe because Madam often calls me since I am the head servant," Desi said, making Letta furrow her brow.

"Really? I thought we were like friends, and I always told you everything. I'm curious about how I was before I lost my memory. Well, at least I need an idea about myself," Letta said, making Desi silent, then she smiled comforting at her employer.

"Madam has always been a good person from the beginning. Madam is friendly to all the servants and guards in this house. Madam never discriminates against us, just like now. Madam only forgets her memory, but Madam doesn't deviate from her true self,” Desi said, making Letta smile.

"Is that a compliment?" Letta asked again, making Desi just smile.

"Thank you, Desi, for always being there when I need you," Letta said, making Desi just nod, as Letta has indeed spent more time with Desi than with other servants.
