Pedro stopped outside Marco's office upon hearing his master's shouts, berating some guards who seemed to be inside. The door eventually swung open, revealing the guards walking with their heads bowed. Behind them, another guard was assisting his bruised companion. It seemed that his master was venting his anger on his subordinates. This prompted Pedro to enter to meet Marco.

"Sir," Pedro said, bowing respectfully to Marco, who was now standing facing away.

"If you still haven't received news like them, it's better for you to leave my office," Marco said, making Pedro look around. His desk was no longer neat, and even the jacket Marco was wearing was still lying like the day before. It seemed Marco hadn't left his office and was continually searching for Letta. Pedro also didn't know if Marco was eating properly, as Marco had said he should not be disturbed unless he received news from Letta.

"I have been able to trace Miss Letta's phone," Pedro said, making Marco turn around.

"Then, have you taken action on her whereabouts?" Marco asked again.

"At first, the signal was weak, and we lost the signal again. But now we can ascertain where Miss Letta is currently located," Pedro said, making Marco swiftly grab the jacket he needed to wear before walking past Pedro.

"We move now, don't let her change locations again. Remember, she is clever enough to deceive someone. She could even escape the tight surveillance and guards you provided," Marco said, with a hint of sarcasm, making Pedro nod and follow his steps. Marco immediately got into his private car, with Pedro now behind the wheel.

"Where is she?" Marco asked again.

"In the small town of Montero, behind the hills. People usually go there by boat because if they use the roads, it would take much longer," Pedro said, making Marco furrow his brow.

"Isn't that small town just a few towns away from here? But why did it take us so long to replace it?" Marco said again, leaving Pedro silent as the whereabouts of Letta remained completely untraceable. They had lost track, and luckily it seemed that Letta had her phone with her and accidentally turned it on.

"As you said, they took the overland route, which took longer, more than six hours," Marco continued to instruct Pedro, relentlessly pushing forward until Pedro finally stopped the car right in front of an abandoned tall building, furrowing his brow.

"Is she here?" Marco asked again, prompting Pedro to immediately look at the flat screen in his hand.

"Her phone was detected in several places, and they are close to each other. It's only around this town, and the last signal was detected in this building. I only saw it an hour ago while we were on the road, and I'm sure Miss Letta is still in this location," Pedro said, causing Marco to finally step out of the car.

Marco gazed at the unfinished tall building nestled among residential settlements and other shops. It seemed like this town was truly a small one with not much activity, and even the streets were not as bustling as the city he resided in. This made Marco turn to his guard.

"We're checking this building now," Marco said, prompting him to walk up each step one by one. For some reason, his heart was pounding heavily, imagining that his efforts would soon pay off. Marco didn't know Letta's current condition and who she was with, because he was sure Letta wasn't living alone. There must be someone helping her, until Marco finally halted his movement.

"You guys wait here," Marco said as they were almost reaching the rooftop of the building. Marco could faintly hear a conversation, causing him to slowly step towards the rooftop that directly overlooked the town. The atmosphere began to darken, but with his sharp eyes, Marco could see the silhouette of a man and a woman sitting with their backs to him. Marco could feel how close he was to Letta, even his heartbeat quickening as he continued to approach the woman. "I'm going to end it, Sean. I truly can't continue my life if that person replaces me," Letta said, clearly audible to Marco, who was still standing behind them at a sufficient distance.

"What are you talking about, actually? I don't understand your explanation. What has happened to you that you're so scared like this?" Sean asked, holding Letta's shoulders, causing Marco to tightly clench his fists.

"I will truly be finished in the hands of a man who keeps destroying my life. Just by tracking my phone, it's an easy thing for him. He will replace me whenever he wants, and I will return to a prison that will only leave me in agony," Letta said with a trembling voice, making Marco feel something constricting in his chest as he heard Letta's confession about her treatment all this time.

"I promise I won't let that man bring you back and inflict his suffering on you again. From this moment on, I will protect you and keep you safe. I won't let anyone hurt you," Sean said, looking at Letta with a worried expression. The next moment, Sean pulled Letta into his embrace, and it was clearly visible to Marco. Letta poured out all her sadness to a man she might have just met. This reignited anger within Marco.

Marco didn't know what kind of power the man had that made him dare to touch the woman who had been in his grasp all this time. Of course, Marco couldn't remain silent any longer. He didn't want the man to appear as anything more than himself in Letta's eyes. Marco finally, with a racing breath, seemingly restraining his anger, began to move to stop the man who was now tightly embracing Letta.
