Chapter 1456

That night in her room, Molly didn't even dare to close her eyes.

Eaton's drunken incident had given her very serious psychological trauma.

Then, the next morning, her head felt so heavy, and her stomach was even a little uncomfortable.

After washing, she felt her stomach acid surging, making her retch at the sink.

When she came downstairs, she looked a little pale.

Eaton immediately asked with a concerned face, "Are you all right, Molly?"

Ignoring him, Molly went to Lesley's cafe with her things.

She thought she would have to wait, just as she had done.

But the moment she arrived, she found the door was open.

She pushed the door open with confusion and went in. Immediately, she saw Vaughn sitting behind thebar counter.

As their eyes met, the man smiled gently at her, "Morning."

Molly asked in great surprise, "Why did you come so early, Vaughn?"

As she spoke, her eyes swept around the cafe. She asked,"

Has Lesley also come?"

Vaughn said with a smile, "No, she hasn't! Since she witnessed your situation yesterday, she has beenworried about you. Then she asks me to watch you for her, afraid you will have no place to go to againand squat outside. You would look pitiful then."

Molly was inevitably moved.

Lesley was so nice!

But she was also a little sorry. "It's so early. This must have given you great trouble. Or you might aswell let me keep the key, and I'll open the door myself."

Vaughn said, "It doesn't matter. I have free time anyway. Don't try to take my job from me."

As he spoke, he scrutinized Molly's face. "It looks like you've had a bad sleep again, right?"

"I haven't slept at all."

Molly had told him the reason, so she didn't need to cover anything. "That place is a prison, and there'salso an evil wolf in it, so how could I dare to sleep?"

Vaughn's eyes turned slightly serious, but his tone was the same. "Have you had breakfast? If youhaven't, eat a bit and go to sleep. Lesley's made someone tidy up the lounge. You can take it as yourtemporary room. It's upstairs."

"Okay."

Of course, Molly didn't object. Anyway, she had come here for a good sleep.

Vaughn nodded and said, "Then sit down and wait for me here. Let me go make breakfast for you."

"Let me cook it myself. You don’t have to go."

As she spoke, Molly rolled up her sleeves, ready to go in.

Vaughn blocked her way and said, "Do as I say. Just go sit. I'll make it for you. I'll be quick."

Molly was dazed, looking at the man's back suspiciously.

Why was the unquestionable tone so familiar?

As she muttered, she returned to her seat.

After a while, Vaughn brought simple breakfast as he promised: milk, a sandwich, and a freshly friedegg.

Vaughn put these things on the table and whispered, "I can't cook anything else. Make do with these."

Molly said with a laugh, "This is good enough, isn't it? Or you want to give me foie gras and Lafite?"

Vaughn hesitated for a moment before saying, "That... is a little difficult. I cant make them."

Seeing his poker face, Molly couldn't help but laugh," Vaughn, you look cold, but you're good at makingjokes."

Vaughn also laughed, "Since I can make you happy, that's worth it. Eat."

Molly nodded, drank a mouthful of milk, and began to eat the sandwich.

Vaughn took the chance to the kitchen and also got himself breakfast.

When he came out, he sat opposite Molly and began gracefully eating.

After a glance at his movements, Molly narrowed her eyes involuntarily.
