Molly still wanted to say something, but Sean stopped her. He then shook his head. "It's alright. Letthem inside."

Only then did Molly step aside with a dark face to allow them inside.

The two of them stood outside and watched as they headed upstairs after finishing the search of thefirst floor.

They only came back down the stairs about a quarter of an hour later.

It was obvious that they couldn't replace anything.

What was more annoying was that they left without even giving an apology.

"No wonder they're the research base’s dogs. They're so domineering and barbaric."

Molly's voice was as cold as ice.

Seeing how angry she was, Sean wrapped his arm around her shoulders and coaxed her with a gentlevoice. "That's just the way they do things. You can just ignore them."

Even though Molly knew it was best to ignore them, she still felt annoyed. She then pursed her lips. "Ihope there won’t be a next time."

"Since they couldn't replace anything, there definitely won't be a next time," said Sean.

"Okay." Molly nodded and then she seemed to have thought of something. She furrowed her brows andasked worriedly," Will they be able to replace the underground medical room?"

If that lab was discovered, then they would be in trouble.

Kara was still in there.

"Don't worry. That's not going to happen." Sean's voice was soft. "That underground lab hadn't beendiscovered for years. It shouldn't be discovered this time either. Besides, you've seen all thearrangements made at the entrance. The place is well-hidden, they won't replace it at all."

"You have a point." Molly breathed a sigh of relief and then said, "Looks like we can't go to the medicalroom today."

The two of them were planning on investigating the Venomous Insects that day.

"We still have plenty of time." Sean patted Molly gently on the head and smiled. "It's rare that we havesuch free time. Spending time together alone doesn't sound bad at all."

After hearing those words, Molly smiled as well. "Not bad indeed. Then let's go and enjoy our alonetime."

She then cocked her brows at Sean and then dragged him upstairs.

Seeing how happy Molly was, Sean was even a little looking forward to what was about to happen.

What Sean didn't expect was that Molly actually led him into the study.

"It's rare that we have some free time. How about we read together?"

Sean cocked his brows and couldn't help but sigh. 'What the hell was I looking forward to?'

"What's up?"

Molly had a blank face and didn't know why Sean was sighing.

"Nothing. Reading's fine."

Sean pinched Molly's cheek lightly.

After saying that, the two of them entered the study. One began reading books on the sofa and theother began sorting out files in front of the computer.

The room was quiet, but warm and sweet as well.

Nearing lunchtime, Sean's phone rang.

When he looked at his phone, he realized that it was the children calling.

Molly answered the call.

When the children saw the stranger's face on the screen, they were all dumbfounded.

Alex was the first to react. He asked politely, "May I ask who are you, Miss? Why are you holding mydaddy's phone?"

He was stunned that there was a woman that he didn't know near his father.

Molly was also dumbfounded by Alex's question. Then, she remembered that she had changed herlook and got the idea of teasing the children.

Molly then deliberately deepened her voice and said, "I'm your daddy's new girlfriend."

The children were all shocked. What? New girlfriend? Since when did Daddy have a new girlfriend? Ishe cheating on Mommy? That's impossible! There's no way Daddy would do such a thing!"

Alex's face immediately darkened and said seriously, "Miss, I think it's you who has ideas for my daddy,right? Let me warn you, he has a family and it's not a good idea to be a homewrecker!"

"You're absolutely right, I have ideas for your daddy. It’s just that I'm way more prettier than yourmommy!"

"Get Daddy on the phone!"
