Brycen’s gaze at Lara turned even colder. His anger was replaced by disappointment eventually.

He had no idea how someone as kind as his mother became an unreasonable mad woman.

Lara was frightened under Brycen’s frosty stare. Although she was nervous, she found herself a placeand sat down without a second thought.

Russell, on the other hand, shook his head. He did not place any expectations on Lara.

“I’ll check on the triplets,” he said as he was heading to the door. He paused on his way out when hewalked past Lara and sneered, “They’re such lovely kids. How on earth someone could lay their handson them?”

Russell exited the room after he said that. As for Lara, her face became pale when she heard him.

Although the triplets had been taken away from Lara by Caitlyn, they could not conceal their sadness.

“Everything is okay now. That old hag won’t come for you. I’ll call your mother, okay?” Caitlyn’s intentionwas to comfort the triplets. Her initial plan was to inform Molly about it. She did not expect them to stopher from telling Molly. “Don’t call mommy!”

“Don’t tell mommy!” Claudia and her brothers nodded. None of them wanted Molly to replace out about this.“Aunt Caitlyn, please don’t tell my mommy. I’m okay now. If you tell her, she’ll get angry.” Alex politelyexplained to Caitlyn.

“Mommy has to treat daddy, so she can’t leave him.”

Caitlyn gave in after being persuaded. She knew how dearly the triplets held Sean and Molly. For theirparents, they could even endure their grievances. Therefore, she could not bring herself to spoil their

intention. “Alright then. I’ll bring you out for a feast tonight. Don’t be sad, okay?” The triplets nodded.

It was more than two hours later by the time Caitlyn got off work. She had wanted to leave the hospitalalong with the triplets directly. However, the triplets wanted to say goodbye to their uncle before leaving.So, she took them to Brycen’s room.

Lara was no longer there. Brycen did not expect the triplets to return to see him. “Alex, why did you comeback? Were you injured just now? Quick, let me have a look!” Brycen was worried about Alex; He wasdesperate to check on him. However, only when he tried to move did he remember he was immobile; hisleg was plastered, so he could not move. “Uncle, I’m fine. We’re here to say goodbye before going backwith Aunt Caitlyn. We’ll pay you a visit again.”

Brycen’s eyes reddened as he felt even more guilty after hearing Alex’s words. He could only blamehimself for being immobile and could not stop Lara. With a smile, he said to the children, “No need to seeme here again. I’ll visit you at your home instead, so no bad guys will bully you.” It broke his heart towatch the triplets being hit by his mother.

The triplets responded with an “Okay.”

Caitlyn was not pleased with the Mays, including Brycen, after what had happened today. Nevertheless,when she saw how Brycen spoke to the triplets, her expression looked a little gentler

At night, when Molly was having a video call with the triplets, she could sense that they were not in themood

As the saying goes, “A mother knows her child the best” Molly held her triplets dearly, so she could nothelp but notice something But since they refused to let her know, she could not bring herself to forcethem,

Therefore, she rephrased her question “Tell me where did you have fun today?” Apparently, the triplets’behavior had roused Molly’s suspicions.
