Chapter 251

Chapter 251

Molly and Benjamin both exhaled a sigh of relief as they exited the ward after dealing with the patient’ssituation.

Benjamin looked at Molly, who was still frowning, patted her on the shoulder, and joked,” Postoperativecomplications are not uncommon. As doctors, don’t we all have this psychological preparation? Is thewell-known Dr. Joye scared now?” Molly said, shaking her head, “That is not the case. This patient’scase is unique. I’m considering additional treatment options.”

When Molly and Benjamin entered the operating room, they witnessed the patient’s family’s emotions. She was unconcerned about getting in trouble. Because of the patient’s condition, most of the patient’sfamily members are emotional. Molly understands the fragility of every life as a doctor. As a result, whentreating patients, she will work harder and want to save as many lives as possible. “This patient is in aunique situation and requires constant attention to his condition. This is not something I would share withothers. I’d like to keep an eye on him. You are welcome to join me. You come during the day, and I comeat night. Only the two of us can handle any emergency in the situation.”

Molly also knew she would never be able to care for the patient alone for 24 hours, so she proposed toBenjamin.

“What about your children at home if we take turns watching the patient?” Benjamin asked. Benjamin didnot agree right away. He understood how difficult it was for Molly to care for her children independently. He did not want to bother Molly too much, but there did not seem to be any other option. “It’s okay. I havemy grandpa at home to look after them,” Molly said with a smile.

Molly was no longer alone. Nonetheless, Benjamin did not refuse. He knew Molly was a responsibleperson who would be accountable for her work and her patients. He could never refuse, so he could onlyshare the work with her as much as he could.

“Okay, but you must come during the day, and I will work the night shift. So you can accompany the kidshome at night.” As Benjamin suggested.

“All right,” Molly said.

The arrangements had been made, and Molly had to call home to inform her family about it.

Molly was on the phone with Grandpa Dave about this, and the triplets were by his side. Everyone couldhear her when he turned on the loudspeaker. “Mommy, don’t overwork yourself!” “Mommy, your healthcomes first. You must first take care of yourself before you can care for the patients.”

“We’ll be fine at home. Mommy, just come home early when you’re finished!”

The triplets were used to Molly being too busy at work to return home. They know that Molly has beenworking extremely hard, so they have been obedient and let Molly worry less about them.

The triplets were well-behaved and studied and played at home; they did not look for Molly.

When Sean arrived at noon for lunch, the triplets washed their hands and sat down to eat. He did not seeMolly anywhere in the house.

“Where is your mother?” Sean inquired, perplexed.

“Mommy is working at the hospital.” While eating, Alex responded to Sean. Seeing that Sean had noidea what had happened, Alex explained, “That’s mommy. She is always very dutiful to her patients. When we were abroad, mommy sometimes got busy abroad and didn’t come home for a week.”

Sean and Grandpa Dave felt sorry for Molly and the triplets after Alex said that.

Sean could not help but wonder, “When your mommy’s busy, who usually looks after you three?”

“Mommy’s aide, Aunt Caitlyn, or our godmother will look after us,” Claudia replied.
