Chapter 272

Chapter 272

Brycen’s gaze was stern, and he did not want Nathan to bring up what had happened earlier, let aloneembarrass Molly.

The triplets immediately quieted down and looked them in the eyes.

Molly was extremely sensitive. She noticed something odd and asked, “What?” in a deep voice,

“These two are hiding something from me, which must be related to me.’ Molly pondered.

When Molly turned to face Nathan, he inquired, “Why did you keep your profession as a doctor hidden?”

‘Brycen May!’

Brycen’s name was mentally yelled out by Molly as her face turned cold and her mouth cornerstraightened. She met Brycen’s gaze with cold eyes. Brycen immediately shook his head to prove hisinnocence and explained, “I didn’t say anything, not even a single word about it. He guessed it on hisown.”

Brycen was nervous, and he quickly came up with an answer. He was concerned that he would upsetMolly. When he finally got his chance to get along with the triplets, he didn’t want their relationship to bebroken again. Brycen did not lie about it, according to Molly. She collected herself, turned around, andreplied dismissively, “That’s my business. I don’t see how it has anything to do with you.”

Molly did not believe Nathan or the entire May family could interfere with her. “Also, what if you knewabout my profession?” she continued. “Don’t count on me to save Lara!”

Nathan was well aware that Molly harbored prejudices. When he heard such a direct rejection, he felt alittle uneasy. “But you are a doctor who treats illnesses and saves lives; can’t you help her?” he frowned.

“In any case, remember that it is your duty and ethical obligation as a doctor.”

Molly became even more unhappy and angry due to Nathan’s words. “The May family still has the face toemotionally blackmailing me,’ she thought. ‘Over the years, I have endured numerous scolding andreprimand from them. Where was he then, and why didn’t he stand up for me as he did now?’ Mollysighed and tried to keep her anger at bay. “Yes, it is my duty and ethical obligation to do so. But I’m onlyresponsible for a few people, and I’ll save them no matter what.” Molly stated.

Molly came to a halt and looked Nathan in the eyes as if she was afraid he would think she was joking.“Some people are simply not worth my time!” she exclaimed emphatically.

Nathan was initially surprised by Molly’s ruthlessness, so he became enraged and exclaimed,”Regardless, she gave birth to you!”

Molly chuckled. She looked at Nathan with contempt, her eyebrow raised as if she was deliberatelyprovoking him. “So what?” she asked, pausing. “Am I supposed to be grateful to her and thank her forgiving me life? Giving birth to me but

not raising me is the same as abandoning me. Besides, didn’t Lara say that the Mays considered me anoutsider? Diana is her precious daughter, and now she accuses me of being ungrateful?”

Molly said these words flatly as if she didn’t care. Her words cut Nathan’s last hope like knives. “Even if Iwant to be grateful, that should only apply to my adoptive parents, not Lara,” she went on. “I haveabsolutely no relationship with that woman.”

With no words to express, Nathan had lost all his face. He had no rights, no position, and no reason toask Molly for help in saving his mother. The triplets gripped Brycen tightly. They did not dare to sound, and their breathing was very slow. Such a scene should not be disturbed. The triplets kept a wary eye onNathan, fearful that the Mays’ eldest son would hurt their mother.
