True Love -
(Book 2) – Chapter 69
– Did you miss something? Jack had caught her staring at him with no nerve, so she had no choice but to get up in shame and look away.
– Get in the bathroom! She looked for her dressing gown and put it on, when Jack had gone into the bathroom and everything was clear she opened the door. -Grandma, good morning, what’s wrong? I was sound asleep.
– I see, I’ve been knocking for a while now, I thought something had happened to you.
– Grandma, I’m fine, I’m actually starving!
– Now that pleases me, I’ll fix you a nice breakfast, let me make your bed. Megan you’re a terrible sleeper, look at that bed, the sheets on the floor and the pillows.
Oh my God the bed was a total mess.
– Leave it Grandma, I can make it up myself.
– Well yes you’re right, Jack must be about to turn up looking for his breakfast as he always gets up very early, although I haven’t seen him it seems very strange to me.
– Yes I can imagine!
– Well… He stopped dead in his tracks and Megan noticed that her grandmother was sniffing deeply. She immediately smelled her arm without her grandmother noticing and noticed that she smelled Jack’s perfume. She paled and knew she was in trouble if her grandmother noticed. -I’ll have to talk to Jack, he wears too much cologne.
– Hmm… Yeah, well he came by last night asking me if I was alright, I guess that’s it or is he just hanging around like you say.
– Well at least he’s being nicer. I’ll be up in a little while with your breakfast.
Her grandmother went out and Megan closed the door, and at that moment Jack came out of the bathroom and looked at her.
– We almost got caught. That was a good one about me walking by here last night leaving my perfume trail.
– That’s not funny Jack. This is all your fault!
– I don’t remember you putting up any resistance last night!
– What are you talking about? I remind you that it was you who came to seduce me. I demand.
– And I remind you that you let yourself. Because I didn’t feel that you rejected me or repudiated my k****s.
That last one made her blush because she remembered the incredible night they had spent together, she was ashamed for being so weak every time he touched her.
– You know what, it’s better if you leave. You and I are never going to be able to have a normal conversation like civilised people.
– But in bed we sure don’t get along very well!
– You’re an arrogant jerk.
– You know what I said about insulting me, don’t you?
He cornered her against the wall holding her hands together so she couldn’t let go while he kissed her fiercely. She resisted at first but then gradually gave in and responded with the same intensity as his. He loosened the tie of her dressing gown, taking her by the waist, lifting her up and carrying her to the bed.
He was mad, completely mad. They almost got caught that morning and instead of bolting out of there he just went back to making love to her like a savage, he was in serious trouble because every time she offended him it turned him on to think that he was using that excuse to be able to touch her or make love to her. He had to stop that game or he would get burned, but the thought of never making love to her again made him very cranky.
– Is Patrón on dry land? Rodrigo interrupted his thoughts at that moment, he couldn’t even remember what he was going to do in the stables.
– I’m just thinking about some bills I have to pay.
– Ya! I was wondering if I could borrow the all-terrain vehicle, I have to go to San Antonio for some errands for Grisell and for the barracks.
– If that’s okay, take it. But don’t take too long, we need to see the rest of the pregnant cows.
– Yes, boss.
That was what he had to occupy his days in working, and not to be thinking about city girls and much less to continue with that crazy obsession of making love to her every time he had her near.
– Rodrigo, where are you going? Melisa asked him when she saw him get into Jack’s car.
– To San Antonio baby. Do you want to go?
– Of course I want to go! He ran into the house, up the stairs to Megan’s room, who was lying down reading a fax she had received.
– Megan change your clothes, Rodrigo is leaving for San Antonio, it’s the chance we have to get you checked out by the doctor, and best of all Jack isn’t going.
– Well I’m ready, no need to change, but what are we going to tell Rodrigo?
– We’ll tell him that we’re going to walk around and buy things while he places his orders.
– That’s a good idea!
Both women went downstairs saying goodbye to Grisell. Rodrigo waited impatiently in the car, surprised to see that Melisa was coming down with her friend. But he didn’t say anything. They had arrived to San Antonio very fast, Rodrigo left them in a shopping centre and told them that he would pick them up there in a couple of hours. But both friends took a taxi and were dropped off at Dr. Meison’s clinic. They asked at the reception for the doctor and he immediately greeted them.
– Good morning doctor.
– Megan, I didn’t think I’d see you so soon. Come on, my wife is a gynaecologist at this clinic and she’ll take care of you.
I was crazy, completely crazy. I almost got them and they didn’t want to do that and instead of just giving him a break he just went back to touching her like a servant, he had big problems because every time it offended him he was excited to think that he used that excuse for not being able to touch her or touch her. He had to play that game or he got burned, but the idea of not touching him again put him in a very bad mood.
Megan’s ultrasound was done and she was indeed a few weeks pregnant and everything was going well. They left the clinic and after they had bought everything they needed, they took a taxi to the shopping centre. As they had plenty of time they walked around the mall and did some shopping.
Jack was drinking a glass of water in the kitchen and felt a little strange as the house was very quiet.
– Why is the house so quiet? he asked Grisell who was starting to prepare lunch.
– The girls left hours ago.
Grisell’s response was as if a vase of cold water had been dropped on her. Megan had left, and she hadn’t told him anything.
– What do you mean, they left?
– Yes, they’re gone. What’s the problem?
– But why didn’t anyone tell me?
– And that’s why Jack, it wasn’t necessary. Rodrigo can take good care of them.
– What the what?
I hadn’t told that idiot to inform him of Megan’s every move.
– Yes, he took them. But they’ll be back soon!
– What are you saying?
– If they told me they’d be here by lunchtime, they must have gone shopping.
– So they’re shopping!
– If that’s the most likely scenario.
– Grisell, why the hell don’t you explain yourself better before you speak?
– Well, what are you up to? If you like my granddaughter, why don’t you tell her at once?
– What’s that about? Nobody has said anything about liking Megan, when Rodrigo returns tell him to go to my office.
– Whatever!
He had almost had a heart attack, he had thought Megan was gone and he didn’t like that feeling of loss at all. He was worried about her leaving, there was no doubt about that, but he couldn’t stop the day from coming. He went into his office and noticed that there was a fax that he imagined would not be for him, he sat in his armchair thinking, if she wanted to go to San Antonio why didn’t she ask him. He was angry that she didn’t ask him for things. After a while Rodrigo came into his office.
– Boss, here are the car keys.
– Sit down. What were they doing for San Antonio?
– I don’t know Jack, I wasn’t with them for a few hours. When I picked them up, they were loaded down with shopping bags.
I guess they just wanted to buy women’s stuff.
– You left them alone for hours?
