True Love
(Book 3) – Chapter 89

The metal bar was her guide as she slid her body along it… Zoé, swaying her h**s to the music playing in the background. That afternoon she was rehearsing her number for the evening. Dressed in very little clothing, she moved sensually.

Although when she started working at the nightclub a month ago she knew absolutely nothing about how to slide on that tube. But given the intensive lessons she had been given by the girls at the club, it could be said that she was quite good at it.

Unfortunately for Zoé, they couldn’t replace any other job than in that place. As soon as they walked in and talked to the owner, they were immediately hired, regardless of the fact that she couldn’t speak French. The young woman was not at all comfortable with the job, and even though she didn’t go out in public completely naked, she still wanted to run away.

But the pay was good, and her attempts to replace another job became increasingly difficult. If she didn’t learn the language, there was no point in looking any further. She and Maya did double duty at the bar, once a night they had a number on the stage and then finished the night serving and carrying drinks.

-You’ve got to put your leg up more, Kira!

-I give it all I can.

-Don’t be lazy.

One of the girls was willing to help her learn to do her job well, but she was very demanding. How far she could get her leg up that pipe was totally insane. When she made a turn, the girl fell on her a*s on the floor.

-F**k! she exclaims, rubbing her buttocks.

-Kira! Kira! If you don’t use the necessary strength, this will happen to you.

-I can’t hold on.

-You must! If you fall down in front of the customers, you’ll be out on your a*s.

-I know! She rolls her eyes.

Although it wouldn’t be bad if she was fired, it was what she wanted from the first day she did her first lap dance. At least she had been given a stage name (Kira), she didn’t want to be called by her real name.

She stood up again, taking the pipe in her hands, sighing heavily. She sighed heavily, was this what her life was going to be like? Working in that dive where the girls slept with the customers?

[…]

-Maya, I really don’t want to work here anymore. Zoé lets go in the dressing room.

-And what are we going to do? Nobody else wants to give us work, at least here we earn enough to pay the rent and have a decent meal.

-For God’s sake! This is a joint, the girls sleep with the customers.

-I know… I’ve heard they get paid more. Besides, you know that just dancing and serving drinks doesn’t generate as much income to live on as they do.

-What are you saying?

The brunette looks at her out of the corner of her eye as she pulls her tangle of curly hair into a high ponytail.

-I thought… maybe I should do that too.

-Maya! Her friend rises to her feet and reaches for her. -How could you want such a thing? You’re not a prostitute.

-If you haven’t noticed, there’s a very distinguished clientele coming here. I won’t be a street whore.

-But you’ll sleep with several guys… -You’re crazy.

-It would only be one a night… I couldn’t do it like the girls. It would be extra income, we need to move Zoé.

Although the brunette was right about one thing, where they lived was a very dangerous neighbourhood. Two days ago they were attacked coming into the building, and barely managed to escape. Also, the flat was a mess, they had a serious plague of rats. They had eaten a week’s market.

But prostitution? That wasn’t in her plans… what’s more, she couldn’t sleep with a guy for money. And the next night she could do it again with another.

Fortunately, when they signed a contract with the bar, it wasn’t obligatory to sleep with anyone… that’s why she had agreed to work there. That’s why she was surprised that Maya had told her that she was planning to sleep with the customers.

She’d been the first to breathe easy when they’d left the bar that afternoon, claiming it was a relief not to have to sleep with anyone.

-Maya, I don’t think that’s a good idea.

-You should think about it! Not that I’m pressuring you, but… we’d make more friends. And we need the money.

The girl closes the locker and sighs, closing her eyes.

-I didn’t want this job, Zoé, but it’s what we got. And now we’re here, we have to do something. Either we do it or we starve and live on the street.

-I’m sorry I brought you here! This is my fault. He says guiltily.

-You didn’t bring me here with a gun to my head, I came here because I wanted to. Besides, I wasn’t going to leave you alone in a situation like the one you went through.

-Thank you… you’re my best friend.

-I’m the only one!

They both smile in complicity and then hug each other. That night they wore very few clothes, bright and flashy. A strong but s****l make-up.

-These heels kill me. Zoé complains, pulling away.

-Don’t tell me. Her friend replies. -Zoé… the brunette calls out to her.

-What’s wrong? she asks as she fixes the fuchsia thong on her a*s.

-Will you think about it?

-I don’t have to think about it, I won’t! You’re crazy Maya.

-At some point you’ll have to lose it Zoé… He’s looking at her sideways.

-But not like this, it’s a horrible and cruel way.

-Do you expect something special?

-As a matter of fact…

The girl thinks about the answer for a moment… Did she want something special? Did she want someone who would really earn it?

-I… I think so!

-You’re 22 years old Zoé… you know, it’s very rare to replace a girl of your age as a virgin.

-Shh… don’t let them hear you, if the boss replaces out layers and sells me to the highest bidder.

-That won’t happen! The brunette denies in amusement. -He’s not a f*****g mobster.

-We don’t know that. She whispers.

-Anyway…. if you’re still waiting for the ideal man to lose your virginity, believe me, you’re wasting your time. Those guys don’t exist.

-Maybe they do… -She shrugs her shoulders.

-No, they don’t exist… I recommend you to think about it, my friend…

Zoé bit her lips thinking about Maya’s suggestion… should she lose her virginity like a perfect whore? the truth is that it wasn’t in her plans. why couldn’t she wait for someone special? she still really believed in true love. She just wanted a good love, but there was also the fact that working in a bar, she wouldn’t get what she was looking for.
