Twisting Her Fate -
Chapter 140
Oscar walks back into the house with Ace on his back and a smile on his face as he kisses his mother on the top of the head and then Lani. "My two most beautiful girls"
Aubrey
runs back in the house.
"I heard that"
"Go keep feeding Elena chocolate. I am sending her out with you on your girls night. She has more energy than the rest of you and can dance better"
Aubrey laughs as she runs back out of the house, trying to catch Elena, who has managed to steal her whole chocolate stash.
"I am going out to see Simon"
Lani nods and Oscar kisses her once more before walking toward the front door once again, a small hand wraps around his finger and Oscar looks down into the steel grey eyes of his favourite person in the whole world. "Uncle Oscar, can I come with you?"
Oscar crouches down to Ace's level.
"Ace, buddy, you know your cartoons? You know the villains on your cartoons?"
Ace nods solemnly, his two and a half year-old features scrunched in seriousness.
"Well, Simon is worse than all of them put together. When you are old enough I will take you in, but for now you have to work hard on getting strong so that you can protect the world from villains just like your mummy does" Ace nods.
"I have been training hard"
"I know, uncle Arlo sent me a video. Maybe we can spar a little later"
Ace laughs excitedly as he runs toward his room to get his training clothing. Astrid follows him to help the little man dress himself. Lani looks at Oscar.
"One day soon he will be able to kick your a*s, you know"
"I have no doubt"
Oscar laughs as he continues on his journey toward the cells. He has no doubt that Ace is meant for great things. With parents like he has, it is impossible not to. Elena is the same, but she is more likely to bring the whole world to its knees. She is an anarchist. Oscar walks into the dungeon, nodding at Gabriel, who is set up on his sofa watching the TV, walking down the dark corridor until he reaches the end, a large, thick, heavy door. Using the fingerprint scanner, he gains access.
The room that Simon is kept in is a far cry from the luxurious cell that Gabriel has. They have plumbing to the cell but they didn't install the toilet on purpose, only allowing a bucket, in the same way he expected the girls to live.
Oscar looks over Simon, who is chained from the ceiling. His ankles are fixed together and tied to the ceiling, his wrists held in chains that are fixed to each wall, his arms pulled tightly and his withering chest stretched. "Looks like Arlo has been for a visit"
Oscar laughs, Arlo loves to fix Simon in odd positions and then just leave him for hours on end. Sometimes he forgets to even set the timer on his phone and leaves Simon in the position for the whole night until the next person comes in the next day. Oscar moves forward. "Hmm, you are getting pretty stinky"
Oscar grabs the hose from the corner and starts to spray. The pressure coming from the hose makes Simon's taut body recoil, the water is icy cold and his head that was red with the rush of blood, starts to turn slightly blue. There is a drain in the middle of the floor that takes the bloody, soiled water with it. After Oscar has enough fun watching Simon's body change into different shades with the use of water, he sets the hose aside and moves, undoing the chain from Simon's feet and letting him flop back down to the sodden floor without a single care for Simon's safety of comfort, Simon hits the ground hard with a thump and just lays motionless for a moment so that his weakened wolf can work hard to heal him.
The group aren't so mean that they would not allow the man to keep his wolf, which is more than Simon allowed for the girls, but it isn't because they are being nice or forgiving, it is mostly for the fact that the faster Simon heals the more t*****e they can inflict. Simon finally looks up at the man standing above him. His arms are still attached to the walls. Fortunately, the cuffs allow enough movement that his arms didn't pop out of their sockets, his joints have spent more time out than they have in since his capture, it still hurts each time and as he is always restrained, he usually has to wait until the group puts them back in. They are rarely so generous.
"Where is your mother? I thought it was her turn"
"Why Simon? Are you not happy to see me?"
"Where is your mother?"
Oscar just shrugs.
"She can't even be bothered with you anymore"
**4 weeks of separation**
Astrid clutches Lani's hand on one side and Oscar's hand on the other side as Lani leads them toward the dungeons. Astrid just wants to relish in the fact that she found her daughter. She is not sure that she is ready to face Simon yet, face the monster. "Sorry it isn't a very good set up. That will be top priority when we get to the next place"
Lani opens the door to the dungeon, which is more of a converted basement than a dungeon, but with Terrance's potions, Simon has no chance of escaping even the makeshift area.
Gabriel hits the bars as Leilani walks past. The cell he is in consists of a hard bed and a toilet. When has Gabriel ever lived like this? He has fallen from great heights since Leilani came into the pack. "Leilani, get me the hell out of here. I am sorry for what I did"
Lani just shakes her head and ignores him, leading her mother and brother forward until they stand in front of a silver cage. Simon looks up at the group of three, focusing his hazel eyes on Astrid. "Ahh my mate, are you here to get me out?"
Leilani aims a kick, her foot passing fluidly past the bars and getting Simon straight in the forehead, causing him to fall back against the bars at the back of the cage, his skin sizzling with the contact. Simon moves forward quickly again, his entire focus on Astrid. He sees her as his saviour. She has been so obedient for so many years, there is nothing that he can do that she will not forgive. "My Astrid, my luna, my mate, you will get me out, won't you?"
This time it is Oscar that kicks Simon in the forehead. Astrid shakes as she faces the man. She wants to be strong, but facing the man, the vicious snake, he is the face of her failures.
"You killed my mate, you tried to kill my daughter.."
Astrid's voice starts off whisper soft, rising slightly with each word.
"...You sent my son away so that I could raise your biological daughter, you suppressed me, were jealous of everyone around me, allowed me no freedom so that you could go out and do the most vile things. You are not my mate, you are nothing to me" Simon stares at Astrid in shock.
"What do you mean I tried to kill your daughter?"
Astrid's anger rises.
"Is that all you took from that, is that all that matters? Is that what worries you, one of your filthy evil plans didn't work out?"
"Yes, it is what matters"
Simon growls.
"Rose you f*cking b*tch"
Astrid laughs at Simon's discomfort, the confidence that she was lacking, grows exponentially with Simon's anger.
"Yes, this is my daughter. You tried to take her from me, but it came back around. She came back to me"
Simon looks straight at Leilani.
"You? You are her daughter? The one that stopped me is Astrid's daughter?"
Lani just shrugs with a smile on her face.
"If you want a job done right, do it yourself. If you are too weak to kill a baby yourself, don't blame others for not carrying out the task thoroughly enough"
"It is amazing isn't it? She stopped you, my amazing daughter stopped you"
Simon turns his vicious eyes back to Astrid in hatred, the perfect woman that he managed to defeat. He broke her and yet she is standing in front of him now, he has lost his glory and she has a smile on her face. How can he be reconciled with such things? "Don't be so f*cking smug Astrid, it is not a good look on you"
"Do you think I care what you think is a good look? I am done with you telling me what and what not to do. The moon goddess made such a mistake with our matching. You are the worst thing that ever happened to me"
Simon looks at Astrid laughing hard, he doubles over clutching his stomach in the small space, there is something so unsettling about the sound.
"Ha, so you don't know everything Astrid. I told you not to be so smug, you are not my fated, you never were, that privilege was always for Rose. I gave her a serum so she would never know and I gave you a serum so that you would think you were" Simon's vicious laughter fills the space as Astrid is dealt one more devastating blow.
