Yvette scoffed when she heard what Yara said. Yara might be Yvette's mother, but she couldn't wait to kill her where she stood.

"I made the money through my hard work. If you want it, earn it yourself and stop trying to scare me."

After saying that, Yvette ended the call. Then, she tried calling Matthew. As expected, she couldn't get to him at all. It seemed to her that she had to return to Tirion to take care of it. Yvette immediately got up and checked on Viola. The latter had woken up as well. When she found out about the misunderstanding last night, she was in a daze.

"Has Xavier really changed?"

"I'm not sure as well. Get some rest and stop worrying about everything else."

"Sure." Viola agreed with a nod.

Then, Yvette told Viola that a friend of hers was in trouble and that she had to take care of it. "Alright. Go on. Don't worry about me. I can take care of myself."

There was no way Yvette wouldn't worry about Viola being alone with Xavier. "I'll hire a caretaker to take care of you."

Viola knew Yvette wouldn't be able to relax if she rejected the idea, so she nodded. "Sure."

When Yvette went downstairs, breakfast was already prepared on the table. There was also a note as well. Xavier had written a huge message with his beautiful handwriting on the paper. It read, "I'm getting an examination at the hospital."

That wasn't where he had gone at all. Instead, he told Mark to take him back to Dewberry Manor because Mark had told him that there were some classified documents there.

...

Meanwhile, Yara was sitting in a mansion with Daphne.

Yara wasn't the same miserable woman from a rich family from before anymore.

Five years ago, she and Terrence had escaped to another country. No one knew what she had done to seduce a big shot there and marry him.

Now, all the wealthy women wanted to flatter her, and Daphne was no different. That was because Yara's husband, Lawrence Yandell, was in control of the entertainment industry.

"Has Yvvy agreed to return the money?" Daphne asked.

Yara was infuriated as she scoffed. "She's nothing but an ungrateful bitch. There's no way she would return the money herself."

When Daphne heard that, she comforted her. "Please don't be angry. You'll just hurt yourself. Why don't I try talking to her? Yvvy is a stubborn woman, and she doesn't know how much you've changed. If she learns about it, she'll definitely return the money to you."

Yara stopped her and smirked. "Don't tell her about how I'm doing now. I don't want a daughter like her."

Daphne hadn't expected Yara to be so cruel. After all, Yvette was her biological daughter.

"I understand." After saying that, she looked at the photo on the table. It was a photo of a ballerina. She resembled Yvette a little, and she looked like an elegant swan on the stage. "Zoey looks more like your daughter," Daphne complimented.

When Daphne mentioned Zoey Yandell, Yara looked proud. Her eyes were filled with a loving gaze as she said, "Zoey is my life. If it hadn't been for her, I wouldn't have been able to endure those years of suffering."

Daphne didn't know much about Zoey. However, she was envious of the latter. Not only was Zoey beautiful, but she also had someone powerful supporting her. She could even make someone as cruel as Yara like her.

When Daphne left the mansion, Laura hurriedly held an umbrella over her head. "Where are we going now, Daph?"

Daphne looked at the snow and said, "Let's go to Dewberry Mansion."

Xavier hadn't been blind when he had appeared at the shareholder's meeting a few days ago. Although Daphne had received some financial support from Yara, she wouldn't dare show up in public if he didn't let her go.
