Xavier somewhat recalled the memories from five years ago.

He remembered their wedding and how he had left Yvette alone. He remembered James' passing and how Yvette's face had been streaked with tears. All that time, he had remained indifferent, only caring about the Snyder family's deception.

He tried to recall more, but the pain in his head intensified. Eventually, he stopped trying and turned to Viola.

"Viola, I can't agree to your request."

As Viola froze, she heard Xavier say, "I can't watch the person I love marry another man. I promise to change, to treat Yvvy well, and never to hurt her again."

However, Viola didn't believe a word he said. "No matter what you say, you've only changed now because you're blind. If you were fine, you wouldn't treat Yvvy well." Xavier had no rebuttal. He knew that the only way to make Viola believe him was by showing her that he really had changed.

Too angry to continue speaking with Xavier, Viola returned to her room.

Xavier hadn't eaten since returning home. Recalling Ellie saying that Yvette might not return for a few days, he picked up his phone and called Yvette.

Yvette had already returned to Tirion. After replaceing Matthew and bailing him out, she had gone to meet Kiki and Zachary.

They were eating when she saw Xavier's call. Quickly, she found an excuse to step outside and answer the phone. "What is it?"

"Where are you?" Xavier asked directly.

Yvette didn't want to tell him. "Where I am is none of your business. Just take care of yourself for the next few days. I've hired a caregiver to look after Viola. I'll be back in a few days." While listening to her, Xavier had someone track the IP address of her phone call.

He soon found out that she was in Tirion. Since he didn't know what she was doing there alone, he felt uneasy. So, he arranged for a car to pick him up and take him there.

"Take care, and if anything happens, call me. Also, it's gotten cold now. Make sure you don't catch a chill-"

Xavier was cut off mid-sentence as

Kiki peeked out, and Yvette immediately hung up the phone. Yvette realized that Xavier had become more and more nagging lately.

Kiki whispered to Yvette, "Was that Xavier?" Yvette nodded, earning a scoff from Kiki. "How dare he check up on you? Does he still think he's the same formidable Xavier from the past?"

Yvette couldn't help but smile. "Let's not worry about him and continue eating."

At this moment, Zachary poked his head out. "Mom, who's checking up on you?"

"Viola!" Yvette quickly explained, "Viola is worried about me being here alone, so she asked." Zachary sighed upon hearing this. "Then why didn't you let me talk to Grandma? I miss her." "We'll call her after dinner, okay?" Yvette suggested gently.

"Okay."

Back at the table, Yvette continued discussing Yara and Terrence's situation. As Zachary listened quietly on the side, he was surprised at how shameless his grandmother and unele were.

He had stolen about eight billion dollars, but at least he had stolen it from his own father. Still, if it were investigated, it could be a significant problem.

"Yara is so shameless. When your father passed away, most of the money and assets went to her and Terrence. And now, they're trying to take money from you." "Don't worry. I won't give them any money."

Yvette had already repaid Yara's debt for giving birth to her. Her current life had been given to her by Viola, Claude, and the doctors.

"So, have you figured out what to do?" Kiki wanted to help, but her lawyer's license had been revoked.

Yvette nodded. "I have something with me. With it, Yara and Terrence won't get anything."
