Unbreakable Love His Passion for Her Transcends Death -
Chapter 379
Zachary and Viola came over as well. The latter basically pounced on Noah. "Where did he hit you, my dear Noah?" She was so infuriated that she was breathing heavily.
Zachary immediately shot Noah a glance, and the latter hurriedly said, "I was just messing with you guys."
"Messing with us?" Viola looked at Xavier.
Xavier went with the flow. "He made a bet that you would believe him if he said I'd hit him."
Noah and Zachary were speechless when they heard that. As they had expected, Xavier was great at lying.
At that moment, Noah regretted what he had done a lot. Meanwhile, Viola could finally relax. "Oh, you silly boy. How could you bet on something like that? We have to be honest and never lie to anyone. Understood?"
"I understand. Sorry, Grandma." Noah immediately apologized.
Yvette was slightly angry as well. "Noah, don't make jokes like that in the future anymore, okay? We were all worried about you."
Noah had never been lectured this much before. After all, he was the one who brought the most joy to everyone in the house.
Now, he'd been defeated by Xavier, and he wasn't happy about it at all. With that thought in mind, he hugged Xavier's leg and said, "Mister, didn't you say you'd buy me candy if I won the bet?" Zachary was speechless when he realized how evil Noah was.
Viola coldly glared at Xavier. "Our dear Noah has always been a good boy, so don't you dare lead him astray! Let's go, Noah. Follow me upstairs to get some rest."
Noah smiled at Xavier in satisfaction before nodding pitifully at Viola. "Alright." Zachary was led away as well.
Viola cared for the kids so much that she didn't realize Noah was lying again. However, Yvette could tell what was going on. She had a feeling that Noah had thought of the excuse because he didn't want to be lectured.
"Yvvy," Xavier suddenly called out.
She stood in front of him. "How did you know I hadn't left yet?"
"I had a feeling."
Yvette was stunned for a moment before she asked, "You didn't bet on anything with Noah, did you?"
"Yeah. I just gently patted his butt to punish him. That way, he would learn his lesson and not do anything worse in the future." He told her the truth right away.
"How could you hit him for real? Didn't I tell you he was sick?" Yvette was anxious. Since Noah was sick, she had never let anyone touch him.
Xavier didn't expect her to become
so emotional "You can't pamper him too much just because he's weak, Ywy. No one is going to do the same to him when he gets out of the house in the future. People will just bully him more because of how weak he is."
When she heard what he had said, she finally realized how wrong her methods were. She'd always been strict with Zachary, but when it came to Noah, she'd always been gentle.
She lowered her gaze and suddenly felt like she wasn't a good mother. She also wondered if the children needed a father to educate them.
As she pondered, she suddenly felt a pain in her calf. "Help me walk to a chair."
Xavier immediately held her as she took a seat. "What's wrong?"
"I'm having a cramp. It hurts a little," she said.
"Let's go to the hospital." After saying that, he was about to carry her.
She shook her head. "There's no need for that. I'll be fine in a moment."
He picked her up with one hand right away, and he grabbed her leg with the other hand. She wanted to
avoid
him. However, since Saving
was
a cramp, she couldn't do it at all.
Xavier held her tightly, and he said in a soft voice, "Don't move. I can't see anything now, so I'm not going to do anything to you. But if you move too much, I might accidentally touch something else."
When she heard that, she looked at his hand on her leg. If he moved it upward a little more...
