Since Zoey started dating Jeremiah, he had always been a gentleman and hadn't touched her until now. Even though they were engaged, she still felt uneasy.

For one, everyone talked about how Jeremiah had been ill and his health was poor, but no one knew the specifics of his illness. For another, she feared the engagement might not be stable.

Because of that, she wanted to consummate their relationship tonight and make everything certain.

When she finally got Jeremiah back to the room, she instructed the maids, "Everyone can leave now."

"Yes, ma'am."

After everyone had left, she approached Jeremiah. As she looked at his handsome face, her hand naturally fell upon him. "Jerry..."

Jeremiah had drunk too much. His head was pounding, and he could hardly open his eyes.

Seeing this, Zoey carefully began to undress him and lay down on the bed beside him.

When Jeremiah felt her touch, he struggled to open his eyes. Under the influence of alcohol, his vision was blurry. Zoey, who resembled Yvette to some extent, made Jeremiah feel as if Yvette was sitting next to him. His gaze was filled with tenderness. "Jerry, we're engaged now. Take me," Zoey uttered despite her panic. She did not expect him to wake up after drinking so much.

Jeremiah's Adam's apple bobbed slightly. He did not get angry; instead, he lifted his hand and gently stroked her face.

Zoey's cheeks flushed. "Jerry-"

Before she could finish her sentence, Jeremiah forcefully pulled her into his embrace and kissed her passionately.

Zoey was surprised to see a dominant side of the usually gentle Jeremiah. She stopped holding back and skillfully undressed as she responded to him.

As Jeremiah kissed her, he drunkenly murmured, "Yvvy."

One mention of the name made Zoey freeze in place.

"What did you just call me?" She leaned in closer to Jeremiah.

"Yvvy..."

Ywy...

Yvette!

Zoey remembered that Xavier had called Yvette by that name. Her earlier suspicions were true-Jeremiah liked Yvette!

No wonder Yvette had remained unfazed when Zoey flaunted her engagement in front of her; Zoey had been nothing but a clown in her eyes!

Even though Zoey was unwilling to be seen as someone else's substitute, she didn't want to give up either.

Suppressing her anger, she

continued to respond to Jeremiah's advances. Perhaps her passionate response was too much-Jeremiah suddenly stopped, his vision clearing slightly.

When he pushed Zoey off him, his demeanor was frighteningly cold.

"Who let you in my room?"

Startled by the sudden change in his behavior, Zoey fell to the floor. "Jerry, I-I brought you back, and then you..."

Jeremiah's head throbbed. He looked at the naked Zoey on the floor with a chilling gaze.

"Get out," he growled.

"But I'm not wearing anything."

"I'm not repeating myself!"

Compared to someone who was always violent, it was even more frightening to see a man as gentle as Jeremy act this way.

Zoey hurriedly picked up her clothes, hastily put them on, and left, her face flushed with embarrassment.

She couldn't sleep. After changing

her clothes, she angrily went to Yvette's place. She needed to know how Yvette had met Jeremiah, why he called her name, and what he saw in her.

Yvette had just returned home and hadn't yet rested when she heard someone ringing the doorbell urgently. She walked over and

opened the door.

Zoey stood there angrily. "We need to talk."

Yvette assumed it was about Yara, so she followed Zoey outside.

Once they were in a secluded spot, Zoey bluntly asked, "When did you seduce Jerry?"
