However, Xavier refused him. "No, I'm not hungry. I don't feel like eating anymore."

Noah shamelessly insisted, "No, you have to eat another one."

Yvonne, who was watching the father and son, walked in.

"Noah, that's not very polite of you," she remarked.

Noah didn't dare to force Xavier to eat anymore after Yvette scolded him.

Even after Xavier left, Noah was unwilling to give up. He proceeded to take a small bite of a truffle, only to almost jump from the spiciness.

"It's spicy!"

He picked up the water on the table and drank it. He had prepared a glass of hot water for Xavier. Now that he drank it, the spiciness only got worse. "Ugh..."

He was sure Xavier had fooled him. Still, wasn't his bastard father too good at acting? Noah couldn't bring himself to take more than a bit. And yet, Xavier had calmly finished a whole chocolate truffle!

Noah looked at the other four chocolate truffles on the table and was ready to throw them into the trash can. Before he threw them in, Yvette came in front of him and saw the faintly visible jalapeno on it. "Noah... Tell me what you're doing."

Noah's eyes turned red at that. "Mom, I..."

"There's jalapenos in it. Did you give it to Mr. Xavier?"

Noah twirled his little fingers.

"I'm sorry, Mom. I won't do it again," he murmured.

Instead of blaming him, Yvette squatted down and asked, "I'm just curious. Why are you targeting Mr. Xavier?"

Xavier was Noah's biological father after all. This was a fact the kids would know when they grew older. Yvette didn't want them to hate their father at such a young age.

Of course, Noah didn't dare to say it because Xavier had broken his promise and forgotten to take him along to the company. He could only make up a random reason. "Mom, ever since you have Mr. Xavier, you always sleep with him instead of me."

Yvette's face turned red instantly.

"I'm sorry. I'll sleep with you tonight, okay?"

Noah nodded repeatedly. "Okay." This was a decent way to teach his bastard father a lesson.

Xavier was in the living room. He still felt the burn in his throat after he drank cup after cup of water.

That brat! He wondered why Noah started to target him again. After thinking about it, Xavier remembered his promise to Noah last night.

When Yvette was busy, Xavier called Noah. "I'll take you to the company tomorrow. I forgot about it because of something else."

He didn't sleep well last night. He'd been so curious about Aaron's situation, he'd forgotten his promise to take Noah to the company. Noah snorted coldly. "I'm not going."

Xavier raised his eyebrows slightly. "Really?"

Noah felt a little reluctant again.

"I've been waiting for a whole day. You're so annoying."

The corners of Xavier's mouth slightly rose. "I know. I'll take you there tomorrow, I promise."

Noah had a proud expression. "You said that. I didn't force you."

"Mhm. Got it."

Noah only cheered up then. He could even sleep with Yvette tonight!

But at night, he hadn't slept with Yvette for long before Xavier came

to the foom, picked him up from the bed, and put him in the next room.

...

When Noah woke up, he rubbed his eyes. "Mom..."

He clearly remembered that he'd

slept with Yvette yesterday. So why was he in a different place? It must be his bastard father's doing

Xavier had already gotten up and was sitting downstairs.

"Mr. Xavier, did you bring me to another room?" Noah huffed.

Xavier looked up at him and calmly replied, "You were sleepwalking last night. I couldn't wake you up no matter how I tried to."
