"Ahh!" Eric jumped in pain from the scalding heat. "Are you crazy, Teresa?"

The cup fell to the ground and shattered into pieces.

Startled by the sound, Eric stopped yelling and looked at Teresa.

"Eric, let's get a divorce," she said.

Eric was speechless. The room fell silent for a few seconds. Then, he asked with widened eyes, "What's gotten into you?" Teresa didn't explain any further. She went to the bedroom, took out a suitcase from the closet, and began packing her things.

She had only packed a few sets of clothes when Eric walked in.

Seeing Teresa's actions, he didn't try to dissuade her. Instead, he sneered. "Alright. You've grown some balls, huh?

"I knew you were fooling around with someone else. Otherwise, how would you dare to defy me like this? Was it the man from this morning?"

"You deliberately arranged for us to meet each other, made me angry, then fought with me so that you could replace an excuse for a divorce, right?"

No matter how much Eric cursed her, Teresa remained silent. She started packing her things faster. It was as if she couldn't wait to escape from here. Eric paced back and forth at the door. After a few rounds, he suddenly rushed in and pressed Teresa onto the bed.

He roared, "I'm talking to you! Are you deaf?"

Teresa's fingers accidentally scratched his face when she struggled, leaving a bloody mark.

"Damn it! You need to be taught a lesson! I'll show you the consequences of defying me!"

The strength between men and women varied greatly. Despite Leon being much stronger than Eric, Eric had an overwhelming advantage over Teresa. For the next few minutes, Teresa was defenseless against Eric's attacks.

Eric's fists pounded on her body mercilessly.

At first, Teresa resisted a few times, but eventually, she curled up and couldn't move at all.

Eric sat on the bed and smoked a cigarette after venting his anger. Soon, the room was filled with the smell of smoke.

Eric gradually calmed down. He

turned to look at Teresa, who was still curled up in the corner of the bed. He said as he frowned, "Get up. Stop pretending to be dead! Didn't you want to leave? Get out!

But Teresa remained motionless.

After several minutes, Eric realized something was wrong when she didn't move at all. He hurriedly. stubbed out the cigarette and walked over to shake Teresa

"Teri?"

Eric turned her over, only to replace her eyes tightly closed. Her face was swollen, and she looked ashen, with her breathing significantly weaker. "Teri!" Eric quickly picked her up and rushed out of the house.

....

Tiffany wanted to call Teresa to ask about the food poisoning incident and if there were any updates. She made several calls, but no one answered.

Finally, someone picked up the last call, but it was Eric.

"Tiff, what's up?"

Tiffany didn't like Eric, but she couldn't show her dislike too openly out of consideration for Teresa. "I'm looking for Teresa." "Teri... is not here."

Tiffany sensed that something was wrong. Teresa never left her phone behind because she was afraid of missing Tiffany's calls. Every time she called her, Teresa would answer right away. en Ebookex

"Where did she go?"

"I'm not sure. It seems like she went out shopping with a friend."

"I see."

After hanging up the phone, she immediately took a taxi to Fenwell Garden.
