Chapter 37
To avoid being exposed, Logan hurriedly familiarized himself with everything in the house.
Eventually, he wandered into the kitchen and watched Lorraine cook. Sensing his gaze, Lorraine glanced at him before continuing with her work, asking, "Aren't you supposed to supervise the kids with their homework?"
"That's alright. They'll complete their homework on their own."
"Then check if they made any mistakes."
Logan responded, "I never check their work for mistakes. If I correct them beforehand, they won't pay attention when the teacher explains because they already have the right answers.
"But if I let them make mistakes, they'll pay close attention to the teacher's corrections and learn better."
The children were only in kindergarten, where play and interest development were prioritized over academics. But Logan believed in starting their education early.
Lorraine gave him another look, thinking he was quite different from other parents. Upon reflection, she found some sense in his reasoning.
Then, Logan's phone rang. He stopped talking to Lorraine, pulled out his phone, and saw an unfamiliar number on the screen.
He answered the call with a frown.
"Hello, Mr. Logan."
"Who is this? And please, don't call me Mr. Logan."
He didn't like strangers calling him by his first name.

Karen quickly corrected herself, "Mr. Moore."
"Who's this?" Logan walked out to the small balcony to speak privately, ensuring Lorraine wouldn't overhear.
"Mr. Moore, it's Karen Stone. Don't you remember me?" Karen sounded disappointed. She had always held a fond memory of Logan, but he didn't immediately recognize her.
She recalled their frequent and pleasant conversations when she was in charge of the landscaping project of Moore Estate. Despite their long interactions, he didn't recognize her voice at once. Logan replied indifferently, "Oh, Ms. Stone. What's the matter?"
Karen flicked her wavy hair and smiled before saying, "It's nothing. -much. I just returned from abroad, and my parents aren't home. I
didn't bring my house keys, so I thought I'd stay at Glendale Grand Hotel for a while."
She paused before taking the first step in pursuing Logan. "Mr.
Moore, could you help me get a room at Glendale Grand Hotel? I want the premier suite, but the front desk says it's fully booked."
Logan responded coldly, "If it's fully booked, you'll have to wait or choose another room. Besides, Glendale Grand Hotel is managed by Daniel. Contact him if you need anything." With that, Logan hung up on Karen.
His siblings managed various sectors, but as the head of Moore Corporation, he could intervene with just a word if he wanted to..
Nonetheless, Karen wasn't family or a close friend, and he had no reason to arrange the premier suite for her.
Even though Karen gained fame for designing the landscape of Moore Estate and had become one of the top landscape designers, it didn't matter to him...
Logan never needed to curry favor with anyone. If others wanted to curry favor with him, it would be on his terms.
