Eugene looked at her and instantly rushed forward to take her into his arms. "Olivia, don't be mad. I'minvestigating this right now. Once I replace the culprit, I'll definitely hand her over to you so you can ventyour anger, alright?"

However, Olivia merely stared soullessly at the lights refracted from the window. The light rays feltwarm on her body, but the words that came out of her mouth were cold and lifeless, "Ever since I'vegotten together with you, I've been subject to all sorts of rumors and speculations. Truth was, Eugene felt as bad as Olivia. The guilt, pain, and anxious feelings he had all this whiletroubled him very much. He didn't quite know what to do.

He was tempted to tell her the truth and explain to her that he was the man she had slept with backthen. However, he was afraid that she would break up with him in a fit of anger, especially right now.

She purposely turned her head in the other direction and coldly expressed, "Eugene, let's break up."

"I said I want to break up with you. I don't want to continue with such a life any longer."

Olivia took a deep breath after saying that. It felt as if by doing so, she could then have the courage tofinish off her sentence.

Without any consideration, she replied, "We're incompatible in everything, including our family,background, and even our views."
