Merlin shot Edward a fierce glance. "What do you mean?"

Edward explained, "I really don't desire this position that much. If I wanted it, I wouldn't have given it toEugene back then. I'm just thinking for the company's good!"

Merlin raised his hand to motion for Edward to stop talking. Picking up the cane beside him, he got upand went back to his room.
