Now that Andy was in peril and there was no fire anymore, the herd of dogs began barking belligerentlyat Olivia.

She threatened, "Tell them to back off, or I'll make you die before me."

He snorted. "Do you think death scares me?"

Instead of answering his question, she pierced his skin with the tip of the pencil. The sharp stingstunned him for a moment.

He could feel the blood oozing down his neck, but as though he felt not a smidgen of pain, he flashed asinister smile at Olivia.

Right then, Andy ordered the dogs, "Attack her!"

They advanced toward her immediately under his behest. Olivia took a glimpse at the gate, thinkingwhether she could outrun them—the answer was 'no'.

Leaving with no choice, she dragged him along with her while retreating to that room. This time, sheyanked him along as well. Neither of them would be able to make it out, whereas the dogs could notenter the room without the keys.

Andy sniggered. "Loss? Everyone has to die someday. It doesn't matter how you die. As long as I thinkit is worth it, that will do. Stop with your gibberish talk. I know how merciless Eugene is. He even senthis parents to the court! So, why would he care for an outsider like me?
