"No can do," the father and son said in unison. Looking at each other, Eugene and North smiled; thelittle guy had finally interacted with his father.

Holding onto Olivia's hands, Eugene stated, "We can't leave a time-bomb ticking like this. Otherwise, Ican't go to sleep at night knowing that someone is constantly plotting against you."

North nodded in agreement.

Nathan pitched in too, "That's right. We have to get to the bottom of this. It will be terrifying to live with aconstant threat lurking in the shadows."

Hearing this, Olivia thought they made sense too. "Okay. Let's dig deeper, then."

She then looked at Eugene again. "Eugene, can I be discharged already? I'm fine now and it's sosuffocating to stay here."

Patiently, he replied, "The doctor said you need to be observed for forty-eight hours. We'll dischargeyou if you're okay by tomorrow. Just one more day, alright?"

"But, I want to go home and shower. I feel filthy," whined Olivia.

Raising his eyebrows, Eugene had a thought and suggested, "How about I bathe you tonight?"

Olivia's face instantly flushed red as she stared at him. Does he have a death wish?

"And is that supposed to be old? Besides, you haven't even celebrated your seventh birthday."

Eugene laughed upon hearing their conversation. Haha. If only she knew… that North wanted to boardan airplane to visit Dora and that he'd even enquired about the ticket pricing already. I wonder what herreaction would be by then?
