Warfare of the Brain
November Nineteen

What if...

I could achieve

Everything I ever wanted?

Right now.

Oh,

To be like the moon,

An always-shining beacon,

When not even the stars dare to look upon

The ugly, swarming, monstrous face called

'Humanity'

Any further.

I want to be the one

That people look at

And say:

"Wow, how do you do it?"

If only I could...

Finish my manifesto, finish my portfolio, write the next chapter, write the next novel, get more sleep, get more exercise, win something today, win something tomorrow, love today, loved tomorrow, throw away all those "I can only do so much"s,

To erase and erase and erase

These pesky problems,

As simple as using correction fluid

Or holding down the backspace key.

I'm trying, ok?

I'm trying so hard already.

I'm trying to mean something

To the world and to others.

'Time is money.'

Well, fame is costly.

All I hear sometimes is "Wow, how do you do it?"

And sometimes I answer back:

"Well..."

"What if we all didn't need to be like the moon?"

"So what if I can just be myself?"

For now.
