“How is it not my concern? You’re still my wife, and it’s obvious Sanford has other intentions.”

Stella found his accusation almost amusing in its absurdity.

“I’m not alone with Sanford.

My mother is there, and we’re in a public space.

What exactly are you worried about?”

She looked him up and down before continuing with bitter sarcasm, “Or do you think I’m the kind of person who would betray our marriage? Just because you lost your memory, does that mean you also doubt my character?”
