Jess’s POV

I felt the triplets tense up after Raphael announced who I was facing in the next match. “Princess please let us talk to him before your fight?” Zero started to beg. “Why?” I asked while raising an eyebrow at my three mates. “Nathan is tied with Brandon as our top fighters. Neither of them knows the meaning of holding back in a fight.” Leo said in a manner of fact tone. Hero chimed in as well. “Honey we don’t want them to hurt you. They won’t care that they are facing a man or woman, when they fight it is to win.” I didn’t want them to worry so much but I asked my wolf Midnight what her thoughts were.

“Hey girl, what do you think?” I heard her huffing and groaning. She didn’t want our mates to worry either but we still need to prove to ourselves and the packs that we were stronger than before. “I want to go into at least this fight without them knowing that we are their future Luna. If they knew then it would not be much of a fight. I know our mates will be upset with us but we can make it up to them later.” I nodded my head and turned to our sexy mates. “Midnight and I want to at least fight this match without them knowing. So no matter what the outcome is afterwards you can tell Nathan and Brandon that we are their Luna, but I want to see their strength. Boys, Promise me that Nathan will not be punished after the fight.” They all looked down for a few minutes, then they nodded. I jumped up and gave Hero and Zero their k****s like I promised. Even though Zero tried to trap me in his arms I wiggled out of it giggling. I could only imagine what I was in store for when these big bad wolves get me alone and behind closed doors.

Hero’s POV

When I felt Jess k**s me I really didn’t want her fighting, but I promised. Even so that didn’t mean I had to like it. My brothers and I returned to our seats in the stands and watched as our beautiful Luna took off the huge sweatshirt and got in the ring. If it wasn’t for our wolf hearing then we wouldn’t be able to Nathan’s trash talk to Jess. Nathan and Brandon always have to run off at the mouth. I wish they could just lose their voices sometimes. “Sorry sugar, but just because you are getting all cozied up to my alphas does not mean I will be going easy on you. When I fight I fight to win. I hope you understand. I’ll try not to ruin that pretty face of yours.” He got into his stance and Raphael began the fight. Jess took of like a f*****g bullet. Throwing a bunch of jabs to get Nathan into the defensive and threw in a few sidekicks to his rib area. Nathan was already getting pissed and this match just started. The next kick Jess set towards him, he let it hit but then as fast as a python he grabbed her leg. Nathan then began to swing Jess around before throwing her to the ground face first. Zero jumped to his feet, but Leo stopped him from jumping off the edge.

I was gripping my seat tight. Loki started growling and going crazy in my mind. “Why the hell did you agree to let her fight Nathan. We all know Nathan and Brandon hate to lose in anything.” he snarled. “I know dude, but think of it from her point of view. She has been all on her own since she was 13. She needs to feel like she can depend on us herself. If we force it too much we could end up pushing her away.” Loki whined but he knew deep down that I was right. I mind linked Zero and Leo to give them the same speech I gave Loki hopefully it would make it a little easier for Zero. He sat back down without a fight but replied. “I won’t force her to stop fighting, but we are going to spoil and pamper her to our hearts content.” Leo and I nodded in agreement and turned back to the fight.
