Wing Of Change -
Chapter 64
Aria was back in her apartment feeling like a huge load has just been lifted off her shoulder as she lay coiled up in the cushion like a ball.
It was just a few minutes after 9pm_Aria’s head was filled with thought of Frank as it kept flooding her mind and drowning the little voices in her head telling her to call him and talk it out.
She hates the fact that he didn’t believe her and even more that she couldn’t do anything to prove her innocence.
Aria was heart broken with the way things have gotten and wished she had had that talk with Henry earlier than now because none of what was going on would have happened.
A single tear roll down her cheek even though she promised herself not to cry again. She just couldn’t hold it in no matter how hard she tried.
She let her arms slipped around her petite figure in a bid to comfort herself as she was visibly shaking even though the room was pretty warm. She missed having Frank look at her so lovely and not with so much disdain and distrust.
She let her eyes flip shut for a moment as images of the both of them together flashed through her mind and leaving her in agony of his absence when she realized that was all she has left.
She felt her phone vibrating right under her as she realized she was lying on it and quickly retrieved it.
It was a message from Frank as she read through it in one single glance.
‘I need you Aria ~frank.
Aria felt her heart leaping for joy as she read through his message for the second time before struggling back on her feet.
She was excited and confused at the same time. If Frank was texting her then he must have forgiven her but why was he texting with a strange number though.
She hurried to the bedroom and grabbed the first pair of T-shirt she could lay her hands on from her wardrobe and discard the one she had on before pulling up her hair in a bun.
She took a quick glance at her reflection in the vanity mirror once before slapping a l*p balm against her dry l*p and rushed out the door.
She grabbed the bunch of keys containing both her car key and house key from the table before rushing out the door.
It was just nine thirty. She hoped to make it to Frank’s place in an hour and that include beating traffic of course.

Meanwhile..
Trust is something we can never get back once it’s broken. The tiny pieces that is broken can never be put together to form a perfect shape again no matter how much we wished for it to be_ the cracks will always serve as a reminder.
Having someone you love break your trust so easily is more painful than you will ever know. Especially if it’s coming from someone you never thought could do you wrong and has your best interest at heart.
Frank has had to endure the worst form of betrayal in his past relationship to excuse whatever Aria had done to him in this past few days and yet deep within his heart_he still want her with the same taste and hunger that alcohol could never quench. She is the only woman he knew with all his heart that could fill that void in his heart and make him whole again even though she is solely responsible for the damage.
That feeling of pure bliss and perfect happiness that she gives whenever she smiles at him_makes him feel like nothing could ever go wrong when they are together. The manner at which she get excited over little things that could easily go unnoticed were his greatest joy and at that moment he could only think of it as a weakness that has blinded him to things he ought to have noted even before now.
Frank knew he was making himself vulnerable the moment he allowed himself fell completely in love with her and wanted to make her his.
He knew with all his heart that he was giving himself up to be hurt again and yet he hoped with all his being to be spared.
What a wishful thinking!
Aria was perfect in every little way_if Frank was to describe her, she would be just like a fresh blooming roses that lured him to its beauty and captured his mind with her innocence until he is left bleeding because of it’s hidden thorns he only came to realize just recently.
Frank was hurting and angry at the same time. He was sure beyond all possible doubt that Aria also has feeling for that guy even though she claimed to love him_the possibility of falling for that guy was endless. Who knew if they were having affairs behind his back all these while and claiming to be neighbors.
f*****g damn neighbor!
His only regret at that point was allowing him get too close enough to fool her_or Aria was the one who allowed herself to be fooled like a f*****g child.
Alcohol was going to be this companion for the night just as always as he laid; sprawled on the sofa in his living room with that brownish liquid in one hand. He wanted to forget everything even if it was just for a moment.
He took one sip and wince in discomfort with the liquid burning through his throat like hot coal but he wouldn’t stop drinking still as he just kept gulping down the liquid until the last drop fell into his mouth before he let the empty bottle roll away from his hand onto the floor.
He wanted to numb the pain and put an end to all the little voices in his head telling him to pick up the damn phone and just call her. And tell her what? That he is sorry for not believing her or that he truly believes she was cheating on him with her f*****g neighbor.
Frank knew he’d say worst if he was to call her. But yet he had to control the urge to do so.
Frank wasn’t ready to give in just yet_his pride was having the upper hand in this case and he was glad to loose the war without a fight.
It hurt him to think that she rather run after that conniving bastard over him and for what? Because he looked pitiful and he did not? That bastard got what he deserved_Heck! He would have broken every single bone in his body when he had the chance.
Frank could count a list of all the shitty things he was capable of but the one thing he would never do is to stoop so low as to play the victim just to get a woman to fall in love with him.
Never!
He gave her a choice when he told her to go if she wanted and she left just like he knew she would. He wanted so badly for her to see through the fiasco he was putting up but she was still blind as the night.
She couldn’t even see the lies that was staring at her in the face when he pretended to be the victim of an assault on her account.
Aria who had been around Frank long enough should have known what appeals to him and what not and getting physical isn’t one of them.
Thirty more minutes and his vision was starting to get really blurry. A clear indication of getting intoxicated by the amount of alcohol causing through his veins and numbing the heavy feeling in his chest.
He laid in that position for a bit with his eye lid becoming heavier with each passing blink of an eye before he finally succumbed into a peaceful slumber.
Frank has no idea how long he was out before he stirred and turned in his sleep when he felt someone shaking at his shoulder vigorously while calling out his name.
His eyes flick open for a bit but couldn’t stay awake for long before his eye lids hug each other again.
“Frank!” He heard the voice calling at him yet again.
“Go away” he called back in a slurry way while trying to shoo whoever it was that was disturbing his peaceful slumber but whoever it is wasn’t having any of it as he kept getting called at.
His eyes flick open for the second time and stayed that way for a while as he finally let himself focus on the familiar figure hovering over him in a bit to keep him awake.
“Aria?”
He asked with a frown but his new companion only smiled at him before reaching a hand to caress the beads of sweat off his forehead.
“Yes it’s me my love”
The slight frown grazing his forehead only deepen as he pushed the hand against his forehead away.
“You_you are not Aria. You don’t_don’t sound like her” Frank had tried to push her away with his left hand but she wasn’t having it.
“You are drunk” she noted with a teased.
Frank saw her nose twist upward in disgust before scooting a bit from him.
“Yeah so what? Go away”
Frank watched with hazy eyes as she stood up to her full length before reaching back down for his arms.
“C’mon now, get up, let get you to your room” she insisted pulling at his arm more.
“No! Go away please”
“No Frank, am not leaving until you do as I say. Now get up” she pulled even harder.
