Wolf Pack -
Ceremony
We woke up a little tired from the night before, but I don’t remember feeling so happy, maybe the night of our Soulmeet, but yesterday was really magical. We had breakfast and went to Hughes’ house, because I needed to get ready again, today’s event was close to noon, after the ceremonies we would serve a big lunch to celebrate the union of the Packs and our union, celebrating with our people.
Jack went to settle the last details of the ceremonies and I got ready, my dress today was off White, with a light and fluid fabric, my bust was draped and it shaped my body, at the same time that it gave me a certain lightness and grace , I thought it was appropriate for the occasion, it was formal but at the same time it was simple. The makeup artist and hairdresser were with me and Alina again getting us ready, while Stephan went over the last details. My makeup was pretty much the same as yesterday, but my hair was down in curls, and then Alina walked over with something in her hands.
“This belonged to my mum, your grandma used it at her induction ceremony, and your mum played with it as a kid, I’m just sorry she can’t use it, but I’d like you to have it, and wear it today.” Alina told me opening her hands and showing me a beautiful barrette studded with crystals and pearls, she wiped away a tear when she finished speaking.
“Alina, this is beautiful, thank you so much.” I felt a tear run down my cheeks, and then I hugged her thanking her once more. She handed me the barrette in my hands, and I gathered a few strands of the side of my hair, securing it.
“It suits you perfectly.” She told me running her hands through my hair.
The sounds from Hughes’ office were getting louder, and the door opened, my grandfather looked directly at us and the glass of whiskey that was in his hand fell to the floor shattering into a thousand pieces.
“Hughes are you okay?” Jack asked holding into his wrist.
“I’m son, it’s just that she’s wearing the Claumman barrette.” Hughes responded with a smile as tears fell from his eyes. “You are perfect my granddaughter.” Hughes told me opening his arms, I ran to meet him and sank into his embrace.
I felt so good and welcomed there, I was just sorry that I didn’t live my whole life with them, and that my parents are unfortunately not present to celebrate this great day with us. But at the same time, I was honoring them, honoring our Pack, and our traditions.
“Guys, I think this is all very beautiful, but Luna now you have your makeup all smudged and Alpha I need to clean your tuxedo.” Stephan said approaching, and quickly wiping a tear from the corner of his eye.
I let go of Hughes smiling through tears, he squeezed my shoulders before going towards Stephan who had a tissue in his hand trying to clean his suit.
“You are wonderful. That alpha who takes over with you is a very lucky man indeed.” Jack told me with a smile on his face.
“I also think he is very lucky.” I smiled and then completed. “You look very handsome too.” Jack was wearing a perfectly nice and tailored tuxedo, and I straightened his bow tie once more. I pulled back to gaze at him and he let out a sigh, my husband, it was still strange to say this, he was truly breathtaking.
The makeup artist corrected my makeup once more and we were good to go. Matt and Anna met us there before we left. When opening the doors, what yesterday was just our family and closest friends, today was a crowd of people, the two packs were there, the pergola was the same, the decoration was similar, but in the place of the guests we had our people, waiting for our appointment, to guide you always to the best path. The orchestrated music began to play, Jack bent his arm, and I hitched my hand, we went down the stairs followed by Matt and Anna and behind them came Hughes and Alina, we went to the pergola, which already had the Council member and Lucca, waiting for us.
They began the formal sayings, and he was about to communicate our marriage union, when a great murmur drew our attention, some guard shouted.
“You cannot be here.”
“Yes, I can, she is my granddaughter too.” His voice made me feel so scared, it made my stomach twist and turn, I nearly threw up on the spot.
The voice was Otto’s.
“According to the third law of the Council, members of the same family have the right to cross borders to celebrate unions and celebrations.” Otto said with a loud voice, his voice was hoarse and imposing, behind him came some of our guards and the Council, I knew that before a law, they needed to let him in, as long as he didn’t cause any risk to us, the problem is that unfortunately he was from my family, and he was completely lunatic, we had no way of knowing if he would cause risk or not.
What do you think about Otto’s arrival, is he going to cause some damage there, yes or for sure? tell me in the comments
