"Yes, I keep a low profile in school. I had never asked the driver at home to pick me up, and I wear ordinary clothes to school too."

Jamie George didn't care about the food she ate and the clothes she wore at all.

Although there were some girls in school who liked to show off their wealth, she was never one of them. After all, she was never a materialistic person.

"I see..."

Queenie Holland was slightly relieved. She was concerned before, fearing that Wayne would deceive Jamie.

However, if Wayne knew that that Jamie's family was rich, would he treat her differently then?

"Yeah, Mom. Did you hear some rumors and thought that he had treated me well because he's interested in our family's money?"

In fact, Queenie wouldn't have asked her to come home for no reason. She must have heard some questionable things.

"Regardless, I still have to scrutinize your boyfriend for you. After all, you can be quite an airhead when it comes to matters like these. Besides, what if he changes his attitude towards you and approaches you once he knows that we're rich?"

Queenie was part of the Holland family. She had experienced such things before.

When people did not know who she was, they would treat her like any other ordinary person. However, they would start to butter her up once they knew of her identity.

Jamie was lost in her thoughts, "I am not sure if he knows that I'm from a rich family. When I knew that his sister is Coralie, I just told him that Skylar is my cousin..."

Queenie understood instantly, "How could he not know? After all, none of the relatives to the Holland family are poor!"

"Is that so?" Jamie frowned. She was confident that Wayne was not such a person, but it was true that he had confessed to her not long after he knew that Skylar was her cousin. However, she didn't disclose that fact to Queenie.

"You'd better be careful. I'm not saying that this young man is not a good person, but it's always better to be cautious, alright?" Queenie had always been a good friend to her daughter. Since her husband was not at home that day, she could say more. "Okay, I know."

Jamie in a distress. The things that she had believed In firmly this whole time seemed to waver all of a sudden.

Although she fancied Wayne very much and liked Coralie, Wayne did confess to her after knowing her identity. Was this really a coincidence?

Even though Jackson had given Coralie a week to clean the factory up, she felt that it was still an impossible task. Therefore, she decided not to do it.

She stayed in the office every day. However, not even two days had passed and the power supply of the factory seemed to be limited. The fan heater could only be used for a short time. The electricity would trip as long as it was switched on.

Coralie had no choice but to put on two more coats whenever she stayed in the office.

The day of the inspection soon came. Coralie, wrapped in several layers of the jacket, was jogging and warming up in the factory.

After a while, a black car drove in. Coralie turned around and recognized that it was Anthony Holland's car.

And the one sitting next to him was the beautiful woman from last time.

She didn't know that woman's name was Evelyn Simpson.

Coralie finally understood the reason she had been transferred to this place out of the blue. She had always thought that it was Valerie's doing, but it was Anthony who had pulled the trick. "President Holland."

Coralie stood next to the car and watched as Evelyn got out of the car. She walked naturally to Anthony and stood close to him.

"How's the work here?"

Anthony looked at the factory that was still overgrown with weeds. As he had expected, Coralie did not do anything.

"President Holland, I couldn't possibly clean the whole factory in a week. I believe that I will still be fired even if I try. So why the fuss then?" Coralie said directly.

She despised Anthony from the bottom of her heart. She could never respect men who cheated on their wives.

"I'll be leaving the country in a few days. I could still transfer you before I leave."

"Where will you be sending me this time?"

Coralie's eyes fell on Evelyn's hand. She noticed that Evelyn was standing close to Anthony. Because of the cold weather, she put her hands intimately in the pocket of his coat. They did not seem to intend to hide anything.

However, perhaps they only dared to do that in front of her. After all, she knew about their relationship. Thus, there was no need to hide it from her.

"I will transfer you to my friend's company in B City. I could give you a high position and an annual salary of 200,000 dollars, but with one condition. You are not allowed to return to A City within two years, and of course, you are not allowed to meet Skylar as well."

In short, it was to provide a space for Valerie and Skylar to improve their relationship. This way, Skylar would think that it was Coralie who left him and he would eventually give up on her.

Of course, Coralie was not willing to be separated from Skylar. More importantly, Skylar had been putting effort into their relationship, and he even did not hesitate to taint his own reputation just so that his engagement with Valerie would be called off. Therefore, she couldn't possibly give in because of Anthony's threats.

"I refuse."

Coralie looked at Anthony calmly. Since he had already branded her as a bad woman, why not just yield to that image then?

"How dare you refuse? Do you think that you are even worth 200,000 dollars?"

Before Anthony could even open his mouth, Evelyn had already spoken first.

Her voice was indeed pleasant, but her tone was extremely condescending.

Coralie clenched her fists underneath her sleeves and pretended to be calm. She said to Anthony, "President Holland, Skylar gave me five million dollars a year, but you're trying to send me away with two hundred thousand dollars a year. Isn't that absurd?"

"Five million dollars?"

Evelyn was stunned.

Coralie smiled at her, "Well, it seems that President Holland had given you much lesser than that."

She was not good at sowing discord, but Evelyn had offended her first.

Moreover, she had made up her mind to fight for Skylar and beat against all odds.

However, Anthony knew what Coralie was thinking. He was not angry at all, "Miss Chariott, you are a smart person. The reason why you can't be with Skylar is not because of Valerie. It is because you are just a nobody compared to the Rae family. However, if you work hard for two years and return to A city as an excellent CFO, perhaps, you would still stand a chance."

His words were beyond Coralie's expectation.

She thought for a moment and said, "President Holland, you're going to arrange a job for me in your own company. What if you stop me from getting promoted? What's the use of me working hard then?"

In fact, Anthony's words seemed to have reminded Coralie. She ought to improve herself and become useful to the Holland family so that she could fight fairly with Valerie.

"Miss Chariott, I didn't expect that you would think so much," Anthony looked at Coralie. She was only 26 years old and she had just passed her accountant examination. He showed a look of contempt, "Even i I were to give you a fair platform, how far could you go?"
