Skylar decided to do what he said.

He checked all the wards one by one, and enquired at every help desk. As long as there was a young mother who took her child to see a doctor, Skylar would not let go of them. However, if the child was ill, almost all of them were accompanied by their parents or grandparents. It was almost impossible to replace those accompanied by only their mothers. In addition, Coralie needed a lot of money to cure her son's disease. After Skylar and Sabella looked through the various cancer wards, they went to the hematology department. Skylar came to the help desk and asked the nurse on duty about who he was looking for, based on the descriptions of the pawnbroker.

Hearing this, the nurse immediately said, "Yes, you should go to ward 511. That kid is only looked after by his mother. Well, his mother is almost the same age as you said."

"What's the mother's name?"

Before Skylar could ask, Sabella mouthed the question beside him.

The nurse thought for a moment and shook her head. "I don't know. We all call her Hendric's mom. She didn't mention her name."

"Hendric."

After hearing the name, Skylar immediately dashed to ward 511.

Behind Skylar, Sabella was walking very slowly.

Sabella always thought that Coralie was a dead person, that as long as she got close to Skylar, she could win Skylar's heart. Even Valerie Rae would not be her opponent. But now, the person Sabella had always thought was dead could still be alive....

How could she accept this?

Ward 511 was the last room at the end of the corridor.

While Sabella was still walking, she heard the nurse who was on duty behind her saying, "Hendric's mom, there was a man looking for you just now."

As soon as the nurse finished speaking, Sabella turned her head back.

She saw a woman holding a little boy who was over a year old at the stairs.

Sabella could not be more familiar with that face; it was embedded deep within her memory.

The little boy in her arms, with his facial features, was simply a scaled-down version of Skylar!

Sabella looked at the stunned expression on the woman's face. She knew that Coralie did not want Skylar to replace her, so she walked over immediately and pulled Coralie to the corner of the stairs. When she was walking, she turned her head to make sure that Skylar did not come out of the ward.

Coralie was pulled to the stairwell by Sabella for no reason. She thought it was Sabella who was looking for her.

"Miss Chariott," Sabella said.

"Hello," Coralie said.

Coralie looked at Sabella and recognized her at a glance. She knew her, the person who was always seen with Skylar on TV.

Last time in the garage, they even said "back home".

Coralie did not want to brood over their relationship, nor did she have the qualifications to speculate about it.

"Miss Chariott, Skylar came to see you. He is now in your son's ward."

As Sabella said, she looked at Coralie with hostility.

"He's here?"

Hearing Sabella's words, Coralie couldn't help but hold Hendric tighter in her arms and stepped back.

Sabella nodded. She raised her hand, flashed the ring on her hand, and said, "Miss Chariott, let me tell you that I'm engaged to Skylar and the date of the wedding is fixed. His days have been very painful after you left. I don't want him to experience that kind of pain again, so..." She paused and said, "Please don't appear in his life anymore. He has finally accepted the fact that you have passed away."

As Sabella spoke, her eyes turned red and her voice was choked, as if she was begging Coralie.

Coralie looked at the woman in front of her. For a moment, she didn't know what to do. She looked at the ring on the woman's hand, and her heart was extremely sore.

Coralie knew that she was not that great at all. When she knew that Skylar was going to marry another woman, she was distraught.

However, Coralie still nodded. "I know."

Sabella's voice was choked as she looked at the child in Coralie's arms. "The child looks like him. I'm sorry. I'm making such a cruel and selfish decision, but I really don't want him to fall into the deep depression like when he heard of your death again. Especially not now when he has finally come out of it. He has gone through a wretched life these past two years."

Sabella said every word as if she was thinking about Skylar.

Coralie looked at Sabella. Although it was her first time seeing her, Coralie could feel that Sabella loved Skylar very much.

They were getting married after all.

It was good for Skylar to marry a woman who loved him so much.

Coralie comforted herself over and over again and nodded numbly. "I know. I'm not going out there. Please take Skylar away."

Sabella nodded and thanked, "Thank you, Miss Chariott, thank you for giving us your blessings."

After that, she left the stairwell.

However, at the moment when Sabella turned around, the sadness, sympathy, and pain on her face had completely disappeared. Instead, Sabella said to herself with a hint of viciousness, "Since you're a dead person, you should go where the dead deserve to go."

As soon as Sabella came out, she saw that Skylar had come out of the ward. She rushed over and asked, "President Holland, how is it going?"

Skylar shook his head. "There's no one in the room. Maybe they've gone out and haven't come back yet. I'll wait for a while."

When the nurse saw Skylar coming out, she said, "Just now..."

She was going to tell Skylar that Coralie had come back, but just as she opened her mouth, she met Sabella's warning gaze. The nurse was frightened and quickly stopped talking.

"President Holland, it's so late at night. Maybe the child has been discharged and gone home."

Sabella said aside.

"It's impossible. If she goes home, her brother will tell me."

Skylar shook his head. He was certain that the child living in the room was his son, and the child's mother must be Coralie.

As Skylar spoke, he continued to wander in the corridor.

While Skylar was not paying attention, Sabella took out all the cash from her wallet and handed it to the nurse on duty. She whispered, "Do you have any photos of the patients and their families? Find someone about the same age, show them to my husband, and let him give up."

As soon as the nurse saw so much money, she nodded quickly.

After a while, the nurse found a photo taken last year with the family of the patient from her mobile phone. She then asked Skylar, "Sir, this is the mother and the baby in ward 511. Is this the person you are looking for?"

Skylar heard the nurse and quickly went over. He held the nurse's mobile phone and stared at the photo carefully.

In the photo, there was a slightly plump woman holding a boy who was older than two years old.

It was obviously not Coralie at a first glance.

"Is it this person?"

Skylar raised his head and asked the nurse.

The nurse had to continue lying because she had received Sabella's money. She nodded and said, "Yes, I just took it a few days ago."

"President Holland, is that Miss Chariott?"

Sabella clearly knew that it was not, but she still asked deliberately.

"It's impossible. I have to wait for them to come back."

Skylar didn't want to give up.

The nurse was afraid that her lies would be exposed. Although she didn't know who Skylar was, she could see that the man's clothes were very expensive, so she could only continue to speak. "I remember now. They already went home tonight."

Now the nurse finally understood why lies beget more lies.

Coralie was at the stairwell, so she could vaguely hear the conversation outside. As Coralie listened to Skylar's unwillingness to accept the explanation, she even had an impulse to go out and tell Skylar that she was here.
